Favorite keychain multi-tool/knife?

I replaced the small keyring on my keychain tool with a slightly larger one and then attach all the separate key systems I need on my keyring to a very small metal carabiner thus making it easy to detach, and re-attach any item on my keyring. For instance, car keys, home keys, work keys, and multi-tool all go on their own rings.

Funny you should mention that because I do the same thing. I have a nite ize s-biner that doubles as a bottle opener. I keep four seperate rings on there, one for my work keys, one for truck remote/locker key, one for my truck key / gerber shad, and one for my small stanley tape measure/craftsman 4-way screw driver/ streamlight nano/ leatherman style cs. I find that the bottle opener shape works great for keeping my rings from sliding around and the modular set up also keeps me from hanging all that weight on my steering column.

 Micra. No fuss and just plain handy. Regardless of what else I carry I always have the Micra in my pocket.

I like them all!

I guess that other than the 58mm Vic's the , the only keychain tool I like is the Micra . The catch is that I only like it in a Flyfishing context , attached to a zinger on my tackle bag .

I have been experimenting with a Tinker Small on my keys , this one might be a keeper .

I've always had a Victorinox Classic on my keyring. A few weeks ago, I bought a new Classic SD in sapphire, but then I saw the Rambler. So I ordered one. It hasn't even arrived yet and now I'm wanting the Midnite Manager...

I really should've done my homework in the first place. :o

I also have a Rambler on my keyring, where it will stay. I always have a CS4 (love it but considering the XE6 for the files) on my belt and a Surge in my bag too.

Thanks for showing a comparison shot. I wish I had looked at the pictures before I read the whole thread! I had googled all of those (except the PS4, which is what I sometimes carry) and a few others before I saw your post.

I don't like a lot of stuff in my pockets, so I have a different keychain for each car. The Leatherman is on one, and I have a Swiss Tech Micro Pro on one, a ScrewPop tool on one, and this thread gives me ideas for a couple of others. I don't particularly use any of them a lot, but it helps me identify which keys to grab. The PS4 is my favorite.

Well, it's great to have options isn't it? Although I have a Midnight Manager on the keyring, I have several other options. Including the alox Classic, which you will probably order too some day. :) It's is a very nice, light and very thin Classic.

I have had a Rambler on my keychain for the last 3-4 years. Of course it supplements whatever else I have, but the Rambler has a fine toolset for me, including the all important cap lifter....

This green Vic. signature lite has been very useful, mostly due to the ink pen but also, the scissors, led light, nail file and probably lastly the knife blade.

It's always been the classic for me. Has just what I need day to day, but nothing I don't use. Easy to replace at the next Walmart or Target for what lunch would cost me. So low cost, I feel free to give them away to deserving non knife people who don't know they need a knife yet.

Carl.

I can't imagine going back to the Classic configuration after using the Rambler. It's a big design improvement over the Classic and has added functionality at almost the same size. I'll be keping my eyes peeled for an alox Rambler though... :)
