Favorite Knife Company?

folders:

benchmade & spyderco - evenly
kershaw
cold steel

fixed:

busse
esee
ka-bar
cold steel

Kershaw (including ZT), Spyderco, Ka-Bar, Scrapyard Knives (busse kin generally, I still don't have real Busse... yet) Victorinox.

I always have either Victorinox, Spyderco or Kershaw with me. When I am in woods, I often have Ka-Bar / Becker or my Scrapyard with me from production fixed blades with me.

Favorite knife Co. is Spyderco, because they always stay ahead of the others and they're just first class all the way around! Favorite knife is my Queen Classic stag Cattleknife.; because it is the most perfect production knife and my favorite all time pattern!

Hi BH49
I love your wall display of knives.
Did you make the boxes or did you buy them?
If you made the can you describe how?
Thanks
Rod

Benchmade is my favourite company. Most of their knives is right up my alley :-)
I own these ones right now...
* 710 D2
* 707 Sequel
* Nitrous Stryker Mini
* 556 Mini Grip (two of them)
* Nagara
* Vex
* Rant (fixed blade).
710 & Stryker is my favourite!

... don´t own any Spyderco...

folders...Buck, Benchmade, Victorinox
fixed blade....Buck and Becker K&T
why? because they all make good stuff and ive never been let down by any of them

My favorites are, Spyderco, Emerson, and Benchmade, but I mainly only carry Spyderco knives, I just like how they feel in the hand, and their just a great knife from a great company.

I'd say spyderco too - I've had flings with other companies, and am becoming a huge fan of the work of a couple of the custom guys around here, but spyderco has been with me for well over a decade. Since my first original gen I endura, there has always been a spydie close at hand.

Ranger Knives owned by Justin Gingrich
Emerson and Byrd for folders

The above have solid designs & good quality with excellent price point

Well my favourite fixed blade company is ESEE and my favourite fixed blade is an RC-4, it's tough but not crazy thick and it handles great. The ESEE warranty sure doesn't hurt either.

My favourite folding knife company would be Victorinox, they've been around a long time but they're still going strong. They make affordable knives that are still great quality, what more could you ask for? My favourite knife from them is the Farmer.

Case would be my second choice for folders just because of their history and I like the traditional style more than modern knives. My favourite patterns are the stockman and the barlow.

I'd have to say esee for making tough, reliable fixed blades at price where kid doesn't have to save his report card money forever for...

And victorinox for making reliable, awesome quality folding knives that feature a blade, woodsaw, and other tools for cleaning your nails:D

So many good knives make it difficult to select a favorite company. I'll Try.
Buck, Victorinox, Spyderco, Kershaw, & Fallkniven. Cannot place Becker at the top, because of small selection, maybe in the future. How can I leave out "Bark River?" I was brain dead.

I'm a whore! I'm in love with so many I can't count...

Seriously, I really have few preferences on brand. I more just choose for the particular knife. I have no particular devotion to one brand.

I feel so cheap and dirty now.......... :D

That's exactly how I feel! The passionate attachments to some brands and the visceral hatred of other brands, as expressed on this forum, often leaves me shaking my head.

I think Kabar gets my vote, they've been my most prominant users for the longest period of time. RAT takes a close second, followed by Condor. Gerbers are on the bottom of the list

Benchmade, Buck, Chris Reeve, Boker, William Henry, Microtech, Spyderco, MAC, Boye, Latama, SAK, and Camillus
