Favorite Knife - Favorite Picture

I would like to share pics of some outstanding slipjoints by Ryuichi Kawamura from Japan. His work is just amazing!

BTW, I could manage to arrange a shop tour with Mr Kawamura at his shop in Tokyo. Will be staying for three weeks in Japan for visiting with my wife's family. Thought that would be a great chance to see how a full-time maker is working.

Maybe some of you might know, Mr Kawamura was at this year's BLADE SHOW as an exhibitor! Guess not the last time...
 
Kawamura-san does very nice work. I met him in Atlanta at Blade and was impressed. And his backlog is not as great as many of the top makers. I recently ordered a 4-blade congress from him. Can't wait to get it. (He doesn't even have a picture of one on his site, hehe :D )
