This last year I obtained a number of really cool knives.
Many thanks to folks here.
I don't think I could pick a favorite fixed blade, but there is one folder that is special.
I got this 'cause I thought it was cool. However my stepson fell in love with that knife. Every time he was over he asked to see it.
Today he carries it on him everywhere.
What could be cooler than that?

Thanks guys. I appreciate this forum and everything I have learned here.
I hope you all have a prosperous 2020!

Edit.
Good idea. Sorry.
This is an ebony 110 with finger grooves.
Ain't it pretty?

My favorite for 2019 is the September Buck Of The Month 110. Nickle Silver bolsters. Satin finish, S35VN steel for the blade. Cocobolo, from Taylor Guitars, not sure if Taylor or Buck did the texturing. Stunning knife.

Just thinking about my favorite 112 this one has to be in my top 3. I love my Finney "Tracks" and a few other Customs but to a 112 collector this is the ultimate..Old Custom shop, Elephant Ivory and a Damascus blade. I particularly love the finger grooves and Nickel silver frame..20190531_154536.jpg

I kinda went nuts buying knives this year because there were so many good ones that came out. It’s hard to pick a favorite cause they’re all really nice but I’ve used the Vantage Pro 20cv by SKblades the most as my edc. It stays sharp for a long time and it’s real handy, it flips open smooth and sure, and with the brown canvas micarta contoured handle slabs it’s easy to grip. It’s tough and handles the rough stuff and still looks as good or better than new as the micarta is curing in to a nice rich brown.

My favorite Buck knife is "just" a 110, I think. Precicely which 110 is open to debate.
Lately my SK Blades Smoke Jumper, 'The Gentleman', and that Limited Edition "Nascar"(?) 110 LT have been getting the most carry time.

I think my most used knife would still be a stockman, Barlow, or canoe, of another brands.
I have not really had access to my Buck slipjoints from early June when I had a "minor stroke" (only affected balance; no weakness on either side) to a couple weeks ago, when I was finally able to get to my camper and get them and my adult trike.

Having been in the hospital, a physical therapy facility, and now an assisted living facility, I'm "lucky" to even have had a knife.

(I made sure the assisted living would let me have them and a few other things before agreeing to move in to this particular facility.)
I can use my archery in the back yard (a couple reasonable restrictions on what I can't target apply) and there is a rifle range just 1.8 miles away: well with-in pedaling distance, where I can shoot my Hawken, muzzleloading pistol, and .45 ACP 1911 pistol.
"Life" goes on. :)

110 is always a good choice.

sorry to hear you've been having a hard time, Sir. get better and back to fighting shape and hopefully this year will be a good one for ya.

It's been a good Buck Year for me. Earlier in the year I found a 105. I had never seen one before and was immediately drawn to the design. I've wanted a 112 for literally decades. I almost ordered a drop point 5160 with oak Dymondwood covers but before I could make up my mind I found a nice ebony two-dot 112 and bought that. Later I bought a 112 LT that I carry frequently (although I'm carrying my two-dot today). My favorite right now? I'd have to say this 532 that I found in late November. Another one that I had never heard of or seen before, but found irresistible. It's a 1991 with 425M steel, about the size of the 112 but much slimmer, really pointy, and with nice "file work" on the liners.

I picked up hundreds (literally) of Buck knives made in 2019. A couple of the BOTMs though and a couple of LEs but none really raised my flag and all but the clip point 116have moved on.
I added several El Cajon customs to my pile as well. From 905s to a 929 and several model numbers in between.
These are the wife's favorites. I've got a line on a Damascus 921 to complete the set.

While those are quite special, this 935 I picked up in 2019 may be my very favorite Buck.
