favorite knife

My favorite would be the small Buck Vantage pro. Smooth g10, s30v, and the perfect size for me. It was a dream come true when Buck announced that they would be making the pro model in the smaller size.

As another poster said carbon fiber Millie. Mine has s90v steel . Its such a

great knife...it can do just about thing you could ask for in a knife. Plus I

Like Big Knives. :D:thumbup:

My favorite knife would be the Buck model 500 Duke that my Pop gave me back in high school. That knife traveled with me all over the world when I was an Air Force Crew-chief!

Threads like this are amusing. In my own case I have dozens of knives. I'd say about 70% of them are my favorite and the other 30% I like or would not still have them.

As I sit here typing this I have one Mutz custom custom canoe, two Bulldog large stockman, a Case Copperhead, two Copperlocks, one mini Copperlock, a small Schrade stockman, the Vic Classic I won in Knife Crazied's giveaway sitting between me and my computer. I have a Fight'n Rooster canoe in my RF pocket and in the EDC drawer of my desk I have 16 other knives by Gerber, Kershaw, Spyderco, Schrade and Benchmark.

I will pick up an carry any one or more of these knives depending on anticipated cutting chores. The one knife that has seen more hours in my pocket than anything else is my Benchmade 812S mini-AFCK. Next is the Schrade 194OT which is a slightly smaller "traditional" design, but when you look at them side by side there are striking similarities between them.

I am currently "in love" with Copperlocks, but time will tell if they or others will take over the "most carried" title. I like knives in general and it is neigh unto impossible to make an "absolute favorite" pick; it can and does change often.

I post much more in Traditionals than in General because that's my current strain of knifitis.

Every time I post in one of these "favorite knife" threads my answer is different. Honestly my opinion of my favorite knife changes constantly. Throughout my time as a knife nut I've found what aspects of a knife I like so all of my purchases include atleast one or more of those aspects. So at this point I have quite a few "favorite knives". Its impossible for me to choose just one, so here are my favorites (as of saturday 2:24, ask me again at 4:45 and the list may or may not change ;).

Favorite EDC knives not really in order:
Small micarta sebenza
G11 wilkins mini ritter
Sage 2
BM mini bone collector
Lone Wolf blackfoot

As you can see I'm a fan of 3.3" blades and under for everyday carry at work. My weekend and outdoors favorites are much different though.

Fits like a glove, sharp as a light saber, flips buttery smooth, opens as fast as an assisted knife without the assist, and beautiful (IMO anyway). That's why it's my favorite.

SAK. Since I got one ,me carries it all the time. The toothpick gets used everyday.

I can't REALLY choose a favorite, as it's constantly evolving. Right now I'm getting a kick out of my recently aquired large Spyderco Goddard. Not only is it the longest bladed spydie I own, it's also the THINNEST. The handle is a hair thinner than my damn centofante :o

But the one I always go back to after a few months is my Spyderco Native in S30V. Such a great little knife. It carries like nothing is there, yet it fits in my hand like a much larger knife because of the substantial finger choil. Not to mention great spydie s30V steel. And it's an overall looker of a blade, too.

I always think about having Krein regrind it, but then I think I'd worry about using it too much, plus it was my first Spyderco knife. I might pick up a replacement and have a FFG or high hollow grind done on it one of these days.
