Favorite Large(r) Folders?

My favorite is the Kershaw 1416- XXL Starkey Ridge. I can't post a pic though.
 
I have several large folders made by David Mosier !

The one pictured has an OAL of 9.5 " (4.0 ” blade).

Definitely for heavy work ! :D

R.J. Martin Q40 is as big as I need to carry on a regular basis. I do, however, get a nice thrill from opening my Cuda Max. It's impossible to open that Cuda Max without getting some kind of silly grin on your face.

If I had a small Sebbie it would probably be the smallest knife I carry on a regular basis...but then again, I'm not a gentleman folder type of guy. :D
 
Buck 112 (not that large really), Puma Prince, Schrade LB7, SAK Trailmaster, The Buck 112 saw a lot of hard use in my younger days, the others I like but haven´t used that much or that hard (steady job and urban life, the big knives stay at home).
 
My LCC D/A is one of my favorites, as well as the Protech Magic. Not really big, either one, but big enough. I used to own a Cuda Maxx, and that really did do something for me every time I opened it! Need to get another one soon. The Large Sebenzas are really nice as well. I need to own another one of those soon.

My SERE 2000. It's not the biggest, but it sure is heavy.
Other uses for the SERE 2000:An anchor.
Paper weight.
Door stop.
Kubaton (did I spell that correctly?)
Anything else that requires almost 1/2 a
pound of G-10 and VG-10. :D
 
Gentleman's folders? Not many people have ever called me a gentleman!:D
I find that anything beyond 3" just gets in the way. I have never found a CUTTING chore that 3" couldn't handle, at home OR in the woods.
Some people are more comfortable with more blade....I'm not.

Those biga$$ CUDA Maxx's are pretty cool.:cool:

Of what I presently own, my favorite large folders are:

(VERY large)
Cold Steel Vaquero Grande (6" blade)
Cold Steel X2 clip-point PE Voyager (6" blade)

(Sort of large)
Cold Steel Gunsite (5" blade)
Spyderco SS SE Police (4.25" blade)
 
I confess that these days it's almost a weekly rotation between my Spyderco Chinook, my Benchmade 805 TSEK AXIS, and my CRKT Commander-Series Blitz (all of which clock ~4" blades).

If I had the money I'd get a CUDA MAXX 5.5 Bowie aswell but... yaknow... :grumpy:
 
My paired EDCs are a Camillus CUDA Maxx Bowie (5-1/2") and a Darrel Ralph Madd Maxx (4") recurve spearpoint in Talonite. The Camillus CUDA Aftermath may displace the Maxx Bowie from my pocket, but only time will tell.

I'm also a big fan of the Benchmade 710, one of the great designs of all time. And I have developed an unexpected fondness for the Timerline Worden Tactical Supreme.
