Just like the title says:
What is your all-time favorite Lock-back folder?

Mine is my Spyderco G-10 Police.

The two "runner-ups" are my Spyderco Native III and SS Mariner.

Cheers,
Allen.

Puma traditional German folders like this Universal model.

Well, the thrill hasn't worn off yet, but right now my favorite lockback folder is the Spyderco Manix I acquired yesterday. It's a beastly thing of beauty! :)

However, my all-time favorite lockback folder is probably the Buck 112 Ranger with old bone scales that I received as a gift from a friend.

The Spyderco Manix when I get around to buying one. :) I can feel it in my hand ever since I first held one. It's just so darn big! :)

Spyderco Calypso Jr. Runner up is the Calypso (no Jr.). If they made one slightly smaller than the large Calypso but larger than the Jr., that one would be my fav. If they made one in a liner lock, that might be my all time favorite folder!

I might need another, since everyone here who has one seems to have about 9 more for good measure.

I have an old Case with the bright orange handles on it that I have always liked. It isn't that it has some great steel or anything but it has a swivel handle that allows you to clean it up good. I've always liked it a lot. I bought it at a gun show in Belleville Illinois when I was in the service. I haven't ever seen another one. Here it is. I used to carry this knife a whole lot before the days of the one hand openers with thumb studs and liner locks. It is a Case Blackthorn.

My favourite lockbacks, in no particular order:
-Buck 110.
-Muela "Navaja del Cazador", similar to the 110 but with some Laguiole and Spanish navaja influence, it holds an edge incredibly well.
-Wenger/Eka Wood Line Hunter. Scary sharp, nice simple design and very useful blade shape.
-Spyderco Manix.

Hard to pick just one. But if forced, I'd have to say my Soque River lockback from Japan is the smoothest and most well-made lockback I own.

Here's a runner-up list, in no particular order:
- BuckLite
- Buck 110
- AG Russell Model 340
- Spyderco Endura
- Gerber Silver Knight

Least favorite lockbacks:
- Spyderco Ladybug
- "Pakistan"
- MiniBuck

-Bob

Well, my G10 Police, Chinook 1 and 2, and Manix are all great knives but I have to give the favourite award to my Endura.

Just does everything I need it to with absolute minimal maintenance.

Well I guess mine is my Spyderco Native that I've had for years. Another one I really like is my Wayne Goddard folder by Spyderco. Nice handle shape, and the blade is designed such that the hole tends to blend in, rather than be a pronounced hump. Glad they brought them back.
