Simple:

If you could only keep a single non-custom, mid-sized (5" to 7") Busse to USE, what would it be? Why?

Please post only if you've had some experience with a few of the models - not just one :D

As for me, I've owned a lot of them and nothing has come close to the BOSS Jack for me so far... Perfect blend of size and weight and the handle is fantastic.

Thanks!

used to be my Boss Street but the Boss Jack has taken that spot. the one thing the BS does better is carry smaller.

A little bigger but the best mid sized BUSSE ever is the SHSH.
If I could only have one that would be my choice.
I've had or handled most ofthe others and always go back to that SHSH "Precious"

EU Uncle Mofo. I haven't handled a Boss Jack but I'm intrigued by it. I have that RMD LE which might be close in size and weight which is a great user as well.

ASH1-LE

With the stock thickness and full flat grind it is lighter then you would think. It has a tall blade and it is great for food prep. It is an incredible slicer/cutter. I don't need thicker, I don't baton or beat on a mid sized knife. I have a SHSH variant that I love but I really don't need the extra length. Aside from that its about the same design and probably my second favorite.

I like satin finish for the ease of cleaning. It fits my hand like a glove and the micarta just rocks in every situation. It has kydex scratches (more like dirt in the kydex scratches), but I don't care. Since I made this knife a user I haven't felt the urge to shop for another fixed blade in this size period.

Of the knives posted in the suvey, SFNO!!! It just has a perfect balance, feel and for a general purpose knife it's the best IMO...

SAR-6 for me... My user is a d/c w/ black-canvas...

My safe-Queen is a satin, w/ black & green G-10

The SAR-6 is one of my all-time Busse favorites... :)

Sarsquatch!!! Comp finish eats alders alive (pun intended ;))

The SAR6 and BATACLE (Banned) are great but they don't bite quite as deep for me in live wood. Surveying up here I pretty much only use the mid size on live wood 1-4" thick, nice because of the length I hit the branch I want and not any beyond it or behind me.

Dead or firewood (or frozen) you might want a stouter mid sized.

SFNO>SH-E>Skinny ASH-1>Tank Buster>BOSS Jack. I love my choiless Tank Buster and BOSS Jack but I haven't used either one as much as the other three. I love 'em all but I do believe that after a year or two of use my BOSS Jack will be #1 in this size Busse.

Coated ZT-SH-E (bottom, now with 2" of serrations at choil)

I would say sarsquatch.

My Sarsq feels better in hand and performs better than my SFNO or hell razor.
