Would like to hear other's favorite purchase of a new knife that dropped in 2017. Please keep this limited to knives you actually own.

For me, it's probably the Police4. Bugout after adding CF scales is right up there though.

By far my new Gayle Bradley 2. I have well over a dozen Spydercos and this knife is the best one I have ever had. Just perfect construction and ergonomics IMO.

This year I introduced myself the the PM2. After that I added 13 more PM2s so it would not be lonely and insure I have extras in case I misplace one. The PM2 is my favorite EDC of all time (for now). I did not buy into the hype at first and bought one on a whim and man am I sorry I waited so long. 2nd Favorite would be the Manix 2 G10 S30v. Manix 2 was another late bloomer for me but I would not be without it. ZT0350 is my third prize winner this year. This knife surprised me as well. I rounded out the carry rotation this year with 20cv Gray G10 Griptilian. I dont usually like to carry tip up but in my rotation I make an exception for this guy and the Manix 2.

Favorites
PM2
Manix 2
ZT0350
Griptilian G10 20cv

Honorable Mention: (Have a place but dont see as much carry time as the other 4)
Mantra
Domino
ZT0566
ZT0770cf
Bugout
Gayle Bradley 1
Para 3

Not so favorites:(All nice knives but just not for me or my purpose of use and carry style.)
Gayle Bradley 2
Brad Southard Flipper
Regular Griptillian (Lucky I tried the G10 Version I almost wrote it off)
Caly 3.5
Sliverax

Fantoni HB 01 (the old version marketed by Beretta)

I've started thinking of this knife as the Italian PM2: It's not the prettiest thing in terms of finish if you look at it closely, but it's incredibly functional and ultimately the design is full of smart choices. Very thin and huge (CRK-sized, but not skeletonized) bronze washers and almost drop-shut action. The heat treat is off-the-charts amazing. The HB 03 would have been a more sensible size, but I bought the HB 01 cause I'm a dork for big folders and I got a good deal. Slightly annoying to take down because the backspacer screws are under the scales but the pivot is over the scales, which made me worry about getting centering right, but no problem so far. Looks great next to my other Italianesque beast, the Spydeco Vallotton.

The only knife related thing I got that came out this year was the left handed 119 sheath, hell the knife I got wasn't even made this year.

I don't own one any longer, but may again shortly: the 560 Freek from Benchmade. It's a knife meant to do work and does so very well.

I have a spyderco Shaman on the way. I think ive only purchased two knives this year that I can think of. Kinda have the bug again. Those evil black rifles had my attention and finances for 2017.

This was the year I fell back in love with Spyderco. Para 3, Lil' Native and Lil' Vallotton were all new to me and very impressive.
I'm also enamored with the Reate K-4.

I did buy a few new models this year; and I haven't been shy about saying which was my favorite...the Giant Mouse GM3.
I'm not sure if the Southern Grind Spider Monkey was a 2017 release; but the copper version was. If that counts, I'll list it as a close runner-up.
Those two were so far ahead of the rest of the entries that it looked like a separate race.

Has to be the para 3 for me. After years of deliberating, I got my first PM2 this year, it's a CF/M4 sprint I picked up here on the forums. As soon as I had it in hand I realized that it was a fantastic knife but that I probably wouldn't use it much because of its size, so I started keeping an eye out for a cruwear para 3 on the exchange. A few months in with it and I have to say it really is everything that it should be - and given the basis for comparison, that's a pretty strong statement.

I think for me, considering only knives released for the first time in 2017, I'd have to go with the Benchmade 781 Anthem. Runners up are the Benchmade Bugout and the Spyderco Para 3 (I think I liked the S110V version best, but the Cruwear was nice as well).

My fave is the S!K GSO 2.7. It just fits my hand and my lifestyle, in a nice leather crossdraw sheath.
