Assuming OP reference to "blade" means edge ...
I'm with Crag the Brewer,
a SHARP SPINE (and good handle ergonomics).
ESEE-4 with flat-crisp-sharp 90dps spine.
Spine scraping a fuzz-fire-starter w/ Enzo.
Walking Staff Haft clean scraped with Enzo spine, removing only outer/inner bark and cambium cell layer.
Crisp Sharp Spines (RatManDu, Esee-4 w/ Rubber PalmSwell Liner, Enzo)
Good handle ergonomics example include things like adding a palm-swell rubber liner (rt. side of Esee-4 above)
