You work in an office and want to carry in a discreet pocket knife in each day. Definitely want a folder (a "gentlemen's folder"), no belt sheaths, and would like the flexibility of a pocket clip if possible. What do you buy with a $30 or so price limit?

Swiss Army?
Buck Langford?
Opinel with add on clip?
Case Synthetic MiniBlackhorn?
Other...

Has to be 30? CRKT CEO is under 50 that ticks all the boxes in my opinion.

If it had to be 30 or under.

SWIZA
Douk Douk
CRKT Pilar is usually around 30

Those would be my options.

Never heard of SWIZA... some nice options available there thanks

Sorry I don't even own a knife under $50 and any I carry to the office are generally over $500.

Might look around for a used Kershaw Blur, Leek, or Blackout. If you could bring your budget up a little bit you could source a new Spyderco Tenacious. You could look for some CRKT models maybe. The budget is giving me a mental workout

Thanks JC. I'm so focused on Buck, Case, and to some degree, vintage Parkers, that I'm unfamiliar with a lot of the new designs! Looking for a female family member who won't accept a gift and wants to purchase an inexpensive low key blade to bring to the office. I think she's buying a SAK

If you have a sensitive office environment, definitely buy a sak, It doesn't bother anyone. Red is a relaxing color that is psychologically associated with health. You are more comfortable using features such as scissors than a knife. If you want to be a little stylish, Inox versions can also be found at that price.

I would also go with a SAK u like, plenty of options.

My office carry is a engraved Fällkniven LTC(Legal To Carry), similar to a SAK. Perfect as a pocket floater(no clip).

It's small and looks really sheeple friendly:

I have a SAK tinker black scales on my desk that stays out all the time. Then again I work in an engineering firm and my primary client is the VA. I would guess our office culture is different than other offices.

Very handy tool set to have for light use. Older picture, the SAK and Flag are usually the only things on that monitor stand.
