Favorite Onion Production folder?

Since you're here, why don't you tell us what YOUR favorite production KO is?

The Spec Bump is still my personal favorite . I trust that design to perform well in any scenario. It is my go to knife every time I am in the field or need a hard use folder . I also think it is completely under estimated as a personal defense knife.
I also carry an Eros every day for finer and more delicate use .

Ah, we have similar tastes I see. I edc either my blue or green ti bump or my blue ripple. So I'm ever so slightly off the master himself.

I have a thing for color though...

Guess I can't really say Spec Bump but rather "Bump" in general. I have about 5 of them that I rotate . One Tim Galyean made for me , one in SG-2 , a custom Timascus and damascus one ,a forum Bump ,and a Spec Bump . Plus I have a dozen or so forum bumps I kept just to have them. I also have a bunch of funky prototypes stashed away.

I know some folks complain about sharpening them but that could be solved with a narrow oval stone . Some just don't like recurves , Guess I can't please everyone . I personally love them ( thats obvious)

Is it true that you also regularly EDC a Shallot? I heard someone mention this, but never found a solid source. The Shallot was actually what got me into knives; I still think that it's really underrated for the price. And I have to agree with you about the Bumps; I love the Spec Bump and I just got a titanium Bump to go along with it. Fantastic work!

I actually got around to sharpening my blue bump on a regular old diamond whetstone and I didn't have much trouble with it. But then since I've been using KO folders for 7 or so years and they've almost all been recurves, I guess I've had time to adjust. Anddd my third ti tyrade is on its way now too. But I sold my first two...I'm hunting for a flawless specimen.

If you ever feel the need to donate one of those forum bumps, you know who to call lol. It's the one that got away.

A Chive was my first real knife, and I have owned Shallots, Scallions, Leeks, and a G10 Tyrade, but hands down, my favorite has to be the Eros.

This thing is a razor, and really takes advantage of the strength of Titanium to make a light but strong lock. The design is beautiful, and this knife is absurdly sharp. It may not be a hardcore tough folder, but it cuts like a demon, and the IKBS is smooth like oiled glass. Only issue was that the flipper was as sharp as some knives lol. Had to file it down some with a sharpmaker rod, before flipping it made my finger tip look like ground beef.

Seriously though, 3" blade at 1.5 ounces is insane. This thing is lighter than my Zippo...

Thumbs up for CB or Dam Leek and Specbump.
They are very good. (Today cut the Snow crab legs with Spec Bump -
works as a circular saw.:D)
Wish there were more stud locks on the market.
Boa is also very good especially in 440v.
Eros looks cool design but do not nothing about Acuto
ZT 400 is one of the best in terms of both self defense and EDC

Acuto+ seems to treat me really well so far. I have limited experience at the moment, but it seems comparable to VG10. We'll see if I ever get around to sharpening it...

Have always been a huge fan of KO knife designs. Problem is, that he has designed so many classics it really is hard to decide which is "best". I have most of the Leek models framed as art. (my wife likes her OCC Spyder, and I carry the G-10 leek). Have numerous other knives by Ken. IMO his newer collaborations with CRKT (both the Eros and Ripple) are incredible designs. You know you've got it bad when you get one of each for EDC and one to collect. Thanks Ken for continuing to push the limits, and giving us knife nuts something new to look forward to. Never did say which I liked best......rotate between the Leek, Eros, and Ripple.

Wow, that's really cool the Mr. Onion visits this forum!

My first "real" knife was a KO Scallion. Love that knife!

This knife is growing on me very fast :)

Without a doubt my Tyrade.....a close second would be my ti Tyrade. Really Like these knives.

I've only got a "needs work" but I want a ZT 0301. That knife is SICK! So, I vote for the ZT 0301 here.

I've got quite a few knives including ZT200, Offset, couple of Spec Bumps... But my favorite is Boa. I guess I am in relatively small company for some reason. The handle shape is fantastic! And in general it is a wanderful knife IMHO. Bought myself another couple since heard about Kershaw stopping the production. Sure will have no regrets later on. ;)
