Favorite place to buy a Spyderco

WOW Newgrahm is expensive. i like: www.thebladeshop.com personally. Prices are comparable or better than elsewhere, good selection, and customer service is pleasant to deal with. One thing I've noticed, however, is that the best web site to buy from varies by item. Its best to figure out what you want, and then see which retailer has the best price.

Just do your homework or you could get a D4 that looks like a D3 with AUS6 and a thumbstud. Of course errors are possible at any site with hundreds, maybe thousands, of knives. NGK keeps a live inventory available for you to see. Not "always" alot of specs. So do your homework. Even Spydercos web site is lacking for info on some variations. I have always hated homework.

:thumbup:NGK has great service! Although some places have better prices. Where I am I get the package in two days. Order on Monday, it arrives on Wednesday.:D

I have done all my shopping in the last year with NGK.

That said, I've had good experiences with Knifeworks and Islandtactical.
One complaint about Knifeworks was that they didn't tighten the pivot pin on my BM710, however that was back in 2005 and they're probably used to shipping to Canada by now.
Islandtactical was good about tightening pivot pins and had great staff, but does anyone know what happened to their website? They went from "under service" to having no site at all.

I prefer to buy from the forumites in the sale area right here. You're assured of dealing with good people, and you can find a lot of uncommon things. I recently scored a Ronin this way, which I'm very happy with.
