I saw another post about favorite pocketknife blade patterns and I thought it would be interesting to find out what the favorite pocketknife pattern is.

Mine is the utility, camp/camper/ or Scout type pattern. Reason is simpel, it is a very all around useful knife.

My second favorite pocketknife pattern would be the 3 blade Stockman - again because it is so versatile, followed by the Whittler pattern.

That's a tough one. I guess the easiest way to answer it is look through the traditional pocket knives I own and carry personally. In my pocket as I type this is bone handled Canoe. I have a couple of Congress knives that I carry from time to time and a Trapper. I also carry a damascus bladed Muskrat sometimes. The one I carry most, though, is the Case Eisenhower which is an equal ended Pen knife. I have a modest collection of Eisenhowers, though, so I tend to like them for a lot of reasons. That wasn't a very definitive answer, was it? It always boils down to personal preference, doesn't it?

I guess I like the Whittler the best followed by the stockman and the congress. No too many whittlers out there as compared to stockmans though.

My favorites are the Trapper and Stockman because they give you at least two usable big blades.

Keith.

My favorite is the SAK. There are so many models to choose from that it is hard to find the perfect one (I am constantly changing which one I like the most). For camping I carry the Wenger Handyman, for around town it was the Victorinox Electrician or the Recruit, but I recently bought the Victorinox Cadet. After filing off the keyring part, it is about perfect.
I also am really fond of the Barlow pattern and the standard old electrician's knife.

Tough decision between 2-blade Trapper and 3-blade Stockman.

Of those I own, my favorite is a large bone-handled Case Trapper.

I like the Canoe pattern. Good sized utility blade and smaller blade for fine work...Ed.

I have always been fond of the Barlow. I usually have a V-nox Pocket Pal (a senator pattern) in my pocket.

Even though I don't have one, the Trapper, followed by the Camp Utility. I have to say though the new Sowbelly is easy on my eyes. I do have a Russlock that I'm crazy about, but it is pretty close to the Trapper patern. RKBA!

1.split-back whittler nothing like seeing
the master blade nestled between her brother n
sister.
2.sowbelly or serpentine stockman mmm gentle
curves and a blade for every job
3.pillbuster! quiet refined elegant with the just a slight sinister quality.
