There's a fine line between cleverness and stupidity.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

Mitch Hedberg

“You must either conquer and rule or serve and lose, suffer or triumph, be the anvil or the hammer” ... Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

KARL ROVE, Bush's long-time political guru and White House advisor:
"As people do better, they start voting like Republicans...
...unless they have too much education and vote Democratic,
which proves there can be too much of a good thing."

Heres one I told my companion after a thousand miles of a 900 mile bike trip .

" I always had a lot more fun getting lost than I ever did being found ."

I understand the philosophy . It hits close to home as My old boss told me something like that just before I walked away from the job .

" If you don,t want to feel the whip on your back then you have to whip others . "

To some it seems it is master or dog . All you end up is being a master of dogs .

"If all you have is a hammer, every problem starts to look like a nail."

But what if you were hired as an electrician?

Ah, so many good one.

Churchill and Thurber are always good sources. They loved the language.

Me, in the thick of things, I tend to say stuff like "Unass those rucks! and "You can't shoot THROUGH the damn tree!"

The best quotes must be unmeditated, I think. At least, before the fact.

Wow! This thread is amazing.

Thanks so much to everyone for all these great quotes:thumbup: :)

That bigfoot one (among others) almost made me choke on my seltzer water:D I loved Mitch Hedberg--so sorry that he's gone.

"What's a green chicklet:foot: ?", some noob in Whine and Chesse.

If that's too obscure, how about, "They've killed Kenny, you bastards!!" Kyle Broslofski(South Park):D

"Can you possibly be any stupider?" my Dad, to which I usually replied,"How stupid ya want me to get:eek: ?"(I usually ran after that.):D

But my all time top two favorites are:

"Of all the things I've ever lost, I miss my mind the most" Unknown

AND

"Poor managment on your part, does not constitute an emergency on my part." also Unknown.

"Deru kugi wa utareru." ... Japanese Proverb
(The nail that sticks up gets hammered down.)

I'm sorry I can't properly credit the source.

The nail that sticks up gets hammered down

Put that up against "the squeeky wheel gets the grease"

It's not hard to see how negotiations between Americans and the Japanese can be interesting!

Okay, I am a Leonard Cohen nut, as some of you may have observed...

"There is a crack in everything - that's how the light gets in."

"Blessed are You who have given each man a shield of lonliness, so that he may not forget You."

"Now maybe there's a G-d above, but all I ever learned from love, was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you."

"So here's to the few who forgive what you do, and the fewer who don't even care."
