Since things are a bit slow here I figured I would start a new topic. Let's see pictures of your favorites!

Just about anything from Freedom Arms, but their .454 would be my favorite. Likely best made handgun in the US now and the .454 will do anything I need it to do, plus, with the .45acp cylinder I can also plink as I like.

Please Explain.
Just a product of having bad revolvers to shoot most likely. I've never gotten good results firing them. I have an old .357 that I would hate to depend on. I literally think I'd have better luck throwing it at someone.

That's too bad. I have several I would depend on to protect me or my family. I've killed several deer with various revolvers over the years and this 22 has filled the frying pan on many occasions.

I only have these two now, but love them both. 3" bbl Ruger SP-101 .357 mag cut for moon clips w/Hogue grips and lanyard ring; and 5.5" bbl 1937 Brazilian Army contract S&W Model 1917 .45 ACP. I guess revolvers with moon clips and lanyard rings are just my thing.

And an Opinel N°10 for scale and knife relevance.

So my favorite is my Magnum .500 with target barrel and Performance Center work. It is more accurate than most shooters can take advantage.

For pocket carry, I like the Ruger LCR with the newer trigger, it's a pretty good feeling DA trigger, and with a shrouded hammer if can be fired from concealment.

Accurate? I would say good enough for the distance you'll need for SD.

That S&W is a beauty! It doesn't look too different from my S&W Model 13, except for the barrel length! S&W has such a nice tight fit from chamber to barrel, even on your old model! Nice gun!

Yeah Andy,

That's probable my favorite in my collection right now, although I guess I love all my guns! If things keep going the way they are right now, we might not be able to even talk about them too much longer! I'm fairly sure I know about how you all are feeling about the government going after all our 2nd Amendment Rights, right now! As it turns out, our Governor has turned out to be a Liar when it comes down to the nitty gritty! He really doesn't care a damn about anything except getting out of his office without any trouble! He can't run again for that office, so he just wants to ape's the Florida public, until he can get away! Good God help the new people that plan to run for that job next, they are going to run an uphill battle! I am going to get out and make sure of it! My God is the one that gave me the right to keep, and bare arms, not the government! I think they will fight an uphill battle!

I haven't had much time for photos lately but finally got a few taken so I thought I'd post a couple of my favorites ... I'm not sure I could pick only one

S&W 636-3 Performance Shop .357Mag ... it's ported nearly no felt recoil and the trigger is smooth like glass and light ... shoots more like a .38 Spl. that .357Mag ... the Ahrends Custom grips help with that also a nice high grip and comfortable ...

S&W 636-3 and Carothers 2.jpg

My carry for trail riding hunting where there are predetors or hogs ... S&W627 Pro Series 8 shots of .357Mag loaded with Swift A Frames or Federal with Swift A Frame Bullets ... covers everything unless I go into big brown bear country and that's a different ball game ...

S&W 627 Pro Series & Carothers.jpg

Ruger GP100 Match Champion .357Mag ... another carry for heavy loads it seems to love the Buffalo Bore heavy hard casts ... And nice for deer with Barnes X 140 Grain ...

For the price they are hard to beat ... Ruger tough and accurate and just a bit dressed up ... I really enjoy it also ...

I can't say it's taken over my S&Ws place but it definately gets carried and shot often so my S&Ws now share some holster time depending on what I'm doing.
