Favorite Revolver

I have dry fired the GP100 MC in the store (two different samples) and have been impressed. The fit'n'finish of the ones I've seen has been very good. Honestly I feel like S&W has been slipping a bit in recent years. I'm not a wheelgun expert but in a new gun I'd rather have the Ruger. I think that if you need to use the warranty they're a lot better to deal with.

I think S&W did have a spell where they let QC fall a bit but lately the newer offerings are better again ...

they have cut some costs in visual apperrances with some things to compete with the market ... so they I think are not quite as beautiful and perfectly finished pieces that they used to be but they are getting back there ...

and the functional quality I think is back to where it should be ... but Rugers are just dependable as always ...

And with the Match Champion the stepped up into a more visually appealing gun to some ... and I had a very good gunsmith Rick McDowell doing some trigger work on the Match Champion and change out the springs and it's as smooth as most of my S&Ws.

I do like the looks of the new S&W .44 Mag...what is it, the Model 69? Fairly light weight. I don't really need one but it would be fun.

It's a pretty sexy one. Still got the original box and bill of sale from when my pops.bought it. Don't see myself getting rid of it lol

If you got rid of it. You would regret it forever. Im gonna get a python 6 inch barrel blued with stock walnut handles one day. And carry that bmf everywhere i go. Probably have mr grizzle make me a sweet holster to.

That is one thing I'm looking for is original grips. Pops put some nice wooden ones on there and can't remember where he put the originals lol. Oh well makes me no difference.

If you want a lightweight 44 it's hard to beat the 329 S&W. Not sure how it compares to newer models. When I got my Mtn Revolver many years ago I didn't think I would find a 44 that carried lighter. The 329PD proved me wrong.

Yikes! Even the Mountain Revolver was brutal with full-house Magnum loads, I expect the 329PD must be terrifying!
