Pete

I have three that I like for different reasons (seen here below the Colonial shadow barlow).

The Wadsworth is the thinnest of the bunch, so it rides in my pocket almost imperceptibly.

The recently rehandled Schrade is a sentimental favorite. Also, with the new, slightly thicker, bone handles it is now an easier knife to use so I carry it more.

The one I carry and use the most is the Case pen.

Here is a look at the width of the three (along with a red bone Boker that has since moved on to a friend).

The White Owl and Case pens are favorites of mine, as well. However, I also need to toss this guy into the ring - the Vic Pocket Pal:

I love everything about this simple little knife.

I was hoping you'd post the Eisenhower Pete, great little knife

The slimness of two blades on one spring very much appeals to me on a carry knife.

I like the Case/Bose Norfolk so much that I picked up three when they came out. One went to my dad, one I carry and the other was put up.

All beautiful examples in this thread to chose from. The GEC conductor, the Winchester, the Cases with the swedged wharncliff and the Schrade/Kious appeal to me, but I would also look at a honest too goodness muskrat too. Especially one with a Turkish type clip.

This one is over 100 years old. Electric Knife Company and I still carry it on occasions.

Not to derail too much, but I am not sure if I have posted pics of it in the past. Ken Erickson made it and really got two decent sized blades in a very slim package and not dainty at all. Very cool knife that shows some extraordinary work in getting those blades in a thin package.

Not to derail this thread, but slim version

That Erickson shows the workmanship&skill needed to nest those blades into the frame, it also shows us that this kind of knife set-up works well on a larger frame too. Looks like a 2 blade Stockman as it were, or is it Surveyor? Interestingly enough, GEC released a 54 single-spring 4"+ earlier this year (Equal End) a sort of 'Giant Pen ' Seems to have gone unoticed, not seen one on the forum at least.

Regards, Will

That Schrade/Kious is sweet Gary! For some reason it kept reminding me of something, then I remembered. AG Russell has a reverse Congress that is sorta similar (spey/sheepfoot), does anyone know if it is single spring? His new reverse Congress/Muskrat is a single spring and a nice little knife, another I forgot to mention (and don't have a pic :o).

If the reverse Congress is a single spring I may have another to put on the wish list :D

Thanks!
Griff

Queen Winterbottom Bone Half Congress. Bottom right.

That easy open on the far upper right (no idea what it is) is one hell of a knife. I'd personally never actually carry a folder quite that big, but it is one pretty, pretty knife. Very eye catching.

Here's another one I really like, GEC #61

If they made this (or the #62) with the same wharncliff main and a pen secondary, I would be very happy indeed...

Rockgolfer--Yes! That is the very one. Hope to have it by Wed or Thursday...

Beautiful knives in this thread. While the jack is my favorite configuration from an emotional/nostalgic standpoint, the "pen" configuration works best for my pockets. That Norfolk in Peregrin's post is particularly stunning.

Here are a few of mine. The mini-copperhead is ideal for me with the wharnie blade. But my example has a few issues that bother me, so it seldom gets carried. I know it is perfectly serviceable as a pocket knife steel, but again, it's an emotional thing.

i'm a 2x2 (jack or trapper) kind of guy but i must admit the 2x1 case pen knife is one the greatest products to come out of the industrial age.

I just wish Case would make the 87 pen in some other cover materials. Chestnut bone, black G-10, natural bone, ebony...

An old Bertram made Hen ad Rooster half stockman. I picked this one up about 1970ish. It's been carried and used, and I love the thin full flad grind blades. One of the few factory knives that will slice with an Opinel. The stag has darkened a lot over the years.

They don't get much love around here, but I do like the GEC Little Indian Girl Canoes. Nice big spear and a nice length pen. Lots of knife in a thin, but easy to handle package.

My favorite also is the Case-Bose Norfolk: it has the right blades, the right size, and the right quality.

Somehow, I've always found very difficult to find a single spring-two bladed production knife whose blades don't rub, otherwise I would have many, many of them.
