What is your favorite small folder? I'm talking blade length of less than 2.5". I often carry a Spyderco SS Cricket SE, and love how small a light it is while still feeling sturdy and filling my hand (especially with lanyard attached). Also, it accomplishes something some of the other small Spydercos don't do as well, which is still have the vast majority of the knife in the pocket. I know it's just a mental thing, but when I have 1/2" of a 3" closed knife protruding from the pocket, I don't feel like it is clipped as securely as it should be. This happens with the Dragonfly, Lava, and Salsa. The Salsa would be my number 1 folder if not for the "high-rise" nature of the clip.

So...what smaller folders do you like (especially those that are also affordable)?

Boker Wharcom

and yeah, when i get my leek back from kershaw i'm modifying the clip for deep-pocket carry. Tip-up, it sticks almost 1" out of my pocket.

If your looking for a small folder with a deep carry pocket clip then its gonna be tough to beat the SOG flash I

My favorite small folder is the Jeremy Krammes Cricket.

My favorite small knife is the Buck 503. Small, but still tough as nails, slim and it rides nicely at the bottom of my pocket.

The Spyderco Cricket is another favorite small knife, but I carry it clipless.

Any wire clip Spyderco that fits your size criteria will be as deep as you can carry pretty much. Don't discount the one handed slip joint Spydercos either. I finally bit the bullet for a couple of Orange Wharncliff Urbans, one for me and one for Amy, my GF. I love them. Here are some pictures:

its been a while since ive carried something that small, but before I lost it my favorite was a kershaw scallion. fast 1 hand opening, it wasnt too small and it fit perfectly in my hand. I really wish I still had that knife.

Hey ReeeK thanks for those in hand pictures, I have a FG Leaf coming in about 2 days and I cannot wait to handle this thing. Will be my first above 90$ spydie, first wire clip, first slip joint. I am so excited although I have a feeling spyderco is going to turn out like my flashlight obsession(empty wallet) Thanks, I have been a long time lurker but finally made an account.

My favorite has to be my Benchmade 330. It's been long discontinued, but it served me well for almost a decade. ATS-34, G-10 scales, titanium liners, slips easily into a pocket, what's not to like?

Mine looks like the one on the bottom but without the cf scales.

You'll love it ;)

Ooooo. That Urban looks neat. I just might have to pick one up. :D

My favorite "small" knife would be my Spyderco Lava. It's got a nice small package when closed, but open it just shakes my hand. Really secure grip. Amazing knife.

The Spyderco Ladybug is a great little knife. Spyderco makes some really wonderful little knives; the Spin, Dragonfly, and others that have already been mentioned.

You could also get a Case slip joint if those do not float your boat. Or even a SAK. I am personally partial to the alox SAK's, such as the Soldier.

Not a huge fan of small blades but the Boker Sub/Wharcoms are two of my favorities. My dad like my Subcom so much, I gave it to him and got another for myself.
