Favorite small folder

1. Spyderco Kiwi. It's a lovely "gentlemen" knife.

4. One which I don't have: Klotzli Wimpff Coral

This is what I have and use in the 2.5" criteria. My two favorites are the Spyderco Dyad and the Buck Waimea. I have had the Browning 303 for 20 years or so. It's now retired!

I have the Buck Nobleman, sleek, stylish, nice polished steel, 100% pure buck, plus the chicks dig it! The crkt hug for a good beater, lightweight and easliy hidden for all u mall ninjas!

+1 Gerber LST Ultra/Micro

Satisfies my urban needs, does not weigh down a suit pocket or jeans, does not concern non knifees.

Just found when camping on the weekend that it anchors a photon freedom II in the pocket nicely.

I like other knives, but for urban and office work the little one does the job very nicely for 95% of needs

I use an Al Mar SLB as a cash clip. The blade comes very sharp from the factory and the knife is solidly constructed.

As far as production knives go it's pretty tough to beat the Buck/Mayo Waimea for a small edc. 2 1/2" S30V blade W/Bos heat treat, titanium framelock, and only weighs 1.7 oz.

The smallest I have is the Benchmade Benchmite. A beautifully made and finished little knife that locks open and closed. AUS8 blade steel.

I'm on the fence for a new edc (office friendly) and the waimea is one of the front runners. I'm looking for a) higher quality b) frame lock c) tip down d) made in us e) < $400 f) no thumb studs (prefer hole OHO clip)

I cannot take the anodized blue on SEbenzas, Bradleys', and Kershaws don't really do it for me.
Any other options out there? Any comments on the waimea from those that use it and not just collect?

Native, or an old blue vic my grandma gave me. Very old, like 20 years old. Nice shape, from here work.

Man, nice Mayo buck, I love those. If only I had the money.

There isn't anything I don't like about the Waimea. It's smooth as butter, has a great framelock, excellent fit and finish, and is so light you forget it's in your pocket. Since I got my Waimea it seems to end up in my pocket more often than my small bocote inlaid Sebenza does - that's a pretty high compliment considering how much I like the Sebenza.

The Waimea and TNT are great knives for the money. Very light weight and tough as nails. The come real sharp also!!! If you have the chance to pick one or the other or both up, do it! You will not be disappointed...
