What is your favorite small knife, with a blade 2.25 inches or less? Can be traditional or not and folding or fixed.
Kershaw Chive and CRKT Neck Peck

Well, at 2.38 inches it's not quite what you're asking for but I like my Benchmade Aphid.

My favorite small folder would have to be my fs H1 Ladybug IMO it seems to have cutting power that for the most part IMO is all out of porportion to its size. When it comes to my smaller fixed blades I'm quite partial to my AG Russel Woodswalker. While this fixed blade only sports lowly AUS-8 blade steel I've found the knife is very ergonomic and features an effective but minimal blade as well.

My slightly modded Al Mar SLB

My CRKT Apache III is pretty awesome... Pretty sure the length is about 2-2.5". I've been carrying mine for a good couple of years

While a little over your size limit of 2 1/4" blade length, the ESEE Izula with its 2 5/8" cutting edge is my favorite small knife.

It's small and light, and when paracord-wrapped, it feels great in the hand. And, it came with a wicked sharp edge from the factory. I love it! :)
