I like small spyderco's for EDC.

My forvorite one (today) is the Meerkat.

The next one I would like to get is the Kiwi.

What small Spydie is your favorite?

The Dodo and Meerkat look nice. The Toad is kewl also. They have a very close resemblence to their nature counterparts. Only knife company that actually spends alot of time designing and naming their products.

I've been patrolling for a clipless Spydie so I'll be watching this thread develop. I've already ruled the Kiwi out because it's not available with a serrated edge and it has no belly. A good belly is the secret to the "little big knife" concept, IMO. I really wanted the micarta Jester until I found out that it is not available with the Spyderedge. That kind of narrows things down to the FRN Ladybugs and Jesters (unless I've missed something in my research).

Whatever I end up with will be attached to a Photon II light by keyring and carried daily.

The Cricket is a great big ripper for its size. I carry a clipless carbon fiber serrated one in the watchpocket of my jeans.

The clips can be removed.

I have an SS/PE Dragonfly, a PE Meerkat and a PE Almite Navigator I can't say which is my favorite because I really enjoy all of them. I am also looking to get a Mouse, Co-Pilot and an Executive (if I can find one).

MY favorite "small" Spydie is my stainless PE Delica. Of the small Spydies that I don't (yet) own, I like the Ti Salsa the best.

Unquestionably the Dragonfly in any of it's offerings. It is a brilliant design and I am still delighted every time I handle them even years after I got my first one.

I love my $30 Almite Navigator, but I still wanted the Mouse because of it's heftier build and adjustable pivot pin, so I picked one up on Ebay brand new for $39.95:D
I also grabbed an SOG Sculptura for $25 for the hell of it, looks like a fun little flicker.
I guess the Navigator rules..until I get my Mouse from UPS.;)

I have a two that would have to be my favorite small Spydies; Salsa PE and Cricket SE. The Cricket is usually in my pocket for everyday EDC, while the Salsa is my at home carry. :D

I received a Navigator PE from a trade a couple of days ago, but haven't carried it yet. It might replace the Cricket for EDC.

Too many Spydies, not enough pockets!! ;)

I love the Meerkat too. Yet, my favorite would be the Cricket (unless this is considered a microspidie just like the Ladybug and the Jester).

Another vote for the Navigator! I tried out the Cricket I bought for my Wife and I can't see the attraction. That is why Spyderco makes some many different knives.

It sure does! :D

My favorite small spydie, eh? I like the handle ergos of the Navigator - and mine has VG-10 blade steel, sharpens easily, cuts even better. But, the blade geometry of the Dragonfly juat can't be beat - I really, like that blade style

However......

Lately I have been carrying the mouse, built like a tank, VG-10 blade steel, just the right amount of belly. This one will be in my pocket for a while.
