What is your favorite summer drink? I’m really mainly a beer drinker and if pushed that is my favorite drink, but for a mixer for the hot summer time it is Gin and tonic. Fill a pint glass with ice give it a long pour of gin and top off with tonic and a squeeze of lime.

Non alcoholic: 50/50 lemonade and iced tea
Alcoholic: One Mississippi Margaritas. (Mongo's semi-secret recipe)

Beer, and it's usually beer in the summer: Stella Artois
Wine: Rosemount Estates Shiraz (any Rosee de Tavel is a close 2nd)
Spirit: Bushmills Irish Whiskey
Non-alcoholic: Vietnamese lime soda (sugar, freshly squeezed lime juice, a can of soda water)

Not really a fan of mixed drinks, although the odd rye and coke (Wiser's Special Blend) goes down nicely once in a while.

Since I can't drink any beer, wine, or booze (damn gout...), my favorite is weed.:D.:D.

Oh, you must mean liquid?...In that case, it would have to be Hot-n-Spicy V8 Juice...

Absolutely correct. Perfect.

A beer is great if you've been out working in the sun. But, for relaxing on the deck, its gin and tonic.

Desert Juniper or Tanqueray.

One has to remember that there are three kinds of gin. There is cheap gin for heavily-mixed drinks. There are the high-end, ultra-subtle, ultra-smooth gins like Bombay Saphire which should be reserved for martinis. And then there are wonderful, assertive gins like Tanqueray that are perfect for G&Ts. If you make a G&T with Saphire, the quinine flavor in the tonic will just squash to flavor of the gin. For a G&T, you need a lively gin that fights back and competes with the tonic.

After a day of hiking through the sand dunes in 110-degree temps, there's nothing like a couple of Screwdrivers before dinner.

On less strenuous days, a Hefeweizen beer can hit the spot.

Water while out being active (Skateboarding all day long in the sun, need something hydrating and easy on the stomach), a glass or two of orange juice when I'm back home.

I like a gin and tonic or maybe a rum and coke for cocktails. For a non-alcohol summer drink I love Poland Spring lemon flavored sparkling water.

Well said. As I haven't met a gin I didn't like the cheap gins are far in my past. Tanqueray is my main gin and I'd say if your only going to have 1 bottle of gin that is the one to get.
For my na choices lime aid, water, and ice tea.

Thanks for the tip. I'll skip the Gordons, and spend the extra garbanzo's for an upgrade.

Maybe if I buy the Tanqueray, they'll stop the ads with that obnoxious "Tony Sinclair."

Beer: Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat

Non-A: Tall glass of limeade

After a workout: Lime Gatorade or good old-fashioned H20
