Favorite Tanto Folder

Spyderco Lum is by far My favorite, proud owner of plainedge #315. Would like one with a non-metal handle(Cocobolo or Ebony wood, Micarta, or even G-10). Can't have everything, I suppose.

Automatic: Socom DA
Manual: CRKT M16-04 (I still can't believe how inexpensive they are)

Well, the only tanto bladed knife that I own is my Benchmade 905 Mini-Stryker with a satin finished blade and a plain edge. It is very comfortable and ergonomic, plus the lock engages perfectly.

I have to say my favorite is my NICA Limited Edition Tanto Sebenza. Before I purchased this it was my BM Stryker.

I would say that the tanto is my favorite style of knife. They make good utility blade, its dependable, strong, abd they take a beating. Especially my CS Voyager. I sue it on a daily basis in the field, and its not too hard to get the edge back. I love the locking sound mechanism it makes when opened. I'm a big blade type of guy and this is for me a whopping 5 inches of cold steel.
Then when its play time I use the KaBar tanto along with my bandana to do some interesting cloak and dagger techniques. This particuliar KaBar tanto is black, so that it makes it very difficult for anyone to see me deploy this monster when it decides to breathe fire. Truley a fun blade to handle when doing the five point dexertity drills and other live blade drills.
I would suggest to try a back cut and a snap cut with it, you'll be surprised of the devestating results.

BM Mini Stryker is my favourite.

One day I would like to get one of Crawfords´ tantos.

Mine is the HALO III that I have caried every day for the last 2 months. I like the tip geometry because it has a fine taper, like someone else said a pocket x-acto knife.

Plus it is a blast to play with.

Any thoughts concerning Bud Nealy's offerings and his decision not to sharpen the secondary edge?

You folks in Florida sure are lucky; being able to carry autos!! I would love a Halo III or a Nemesis.

Gotta go with the emerson raven. For sheer visual appeal I can't see anything better and I have handled most tantos. The emerson CQC-7 is also great but I already own the clip point version. I was casually playing with the raven and there was a full role of toilet paper next to me. I casually made the lightest snap cut. The raven with no resistance cut all the way through to the cardboard roll! I was very impressed not expecting this effect at all. Only my BM 710 axis and of course the CQC-7 were wable to duplicate the test.
