What's everyone's favorite time period in history? And what knife makes you think of it?

I'm finding myself increasingly interested in the 1950s and the knife I think of most when thinking about the 50s is the scout pattern

Victorian era, and the knife that most reminds me of it is the later 19th century English Bowie hunters, but the small gamblers / vest Bowies of the era come to mind as well.
I love reading about the Victorian era it's probably my second favorite time period the knife I think of is the Barlow

I've always felt like I was born in the wrong era. I really like the era just after the Civil War in the United states, after things had cooled off a bit. They had some really cool knives back then too. I suppose certain Bowies remind me of the time era, and I just saw a Civil War era J. Rodgers Coachman Horseman that is super cool.

Like the era between the Revolutionary War ( long hunter things ) to the Civil War, but lately more of the Texas independence saga, and would have to be a Bowie or a Spanish or Mexican dirk or Mediterranean dirk. Also some small cowboy bowies rather than the big ones, after the Civil War.

I'd always been interested in 1930's-1940's as WWII has always captivated my interest. My whole life I've been fascinated with it and even decided to take some courses about it back when I was in college as electives.
With that said, the 1970's-1980's BY FAR have my favorite movies and IMO the best movies and music era, especially the 80's.
If forced to live during another time period, I would say mid to late 1970's into 80's would be ideal.
With that said, I am happy with the technology and modern comforts I have grown to know and have become very fond of. I wouldn't necessarily want to give those up.
However, I do heavily dislike what is going on in society today, in terms of politics and in general people seem to only care about themselves and the world we live in today feels as though it completely lacks any soul or sense of community.
Society as a whole (at least in the USA) feels to me as though it's become more divided than ever. Everybody is ready to go for one another jugular on a daily basis. There seems to be no unity. This is an interesting observation, because I truly do not ever remember feeling this way ever throughout my life, even back in the 90's and early 2000's I feel as though the country was much more united and running much more smoothly.

Anyway, I digress!
Favorite knife of that time period? -- Probably has to be the rambo knife!! haha

I was obsessed with katana’s as a kid. I was obsessed with broadsword’s prior to katana’s. I’m at the point now where I’d be happy to live on a homestead in rural anywhere with a few dogs, couple axe’s and a 5 inch belt knife ( circa 1900 ). Also - the 1940’s post war seemed to be a great time..

* I would have loved to meet William Scagel ! That guy sounds like he was fun to hang out with.

Peanut butter jelly time, but it’s a baseball bat that makes me think of it. No wait. Actually a banana. No, now a banana Tanto. Yes. The time period is a few months ago and banana Tanto.

and this post is definitely 420 friendly

I always liked the age of exploration, back when you could walk off the map and go where no one had been before. But, my adventurous side is tempered by understanding that life was hard and much shorter prior to penicillin and modern medicine.

I'm quite happy with the times I lived through and have no desire for times past.

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair."

Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities
