Yep, a good idea. I know my vote is for either the EWOK I have or the Pocket Scandi I have too. Both are awesome knives that slip inside a pocket or bag easily and are great for everyday tasks. I've used mine extensively on bike rides as food prep, not because I need a tougher knife than a folder, but because I like the little guys and I also get peace of mind knowing I have a tough fixed blade with me "just in case".

I'm going to start a contest soon. The challenge for you guys is to go through old posts (the last three years of "Almost Ready To Ship" threads will be a good place to start), and find pictures of knives that you think would be a good "signature model". Start looking now, but don't post any pictures until I start the contest.

I may be one if the minority voters here, but I really like tactical blades.....not to be confused w/ tacticool. Nothing over the top, just sensible, aggressive and functional. A good tac knife can be used in many situations, such as hunting, bushcraft, etc. A knife doesn't have to be boring to be useful.

ps.. DEF not saying any of your designs are boring. I happen to really dig most of 'em.

If you look around at some posts here I'm sure you will find some tactical designs. (And you are not alone, I like them too)

Maybe I should have a contest to choose a signature knife. It could be any model I've ever offered (except the Kephart). That would give people a chance to look back through the forum and check out early models to choose from. Then after a vote, I could offer a chance to buy one at a special price. Sound like a good idea?

Also think that's a great idea. A knife your well known for with several variations! Very cool!

Yea, some of your tac designs are amazing. The scout Jr and gbh are my personal favs. I looked thru a LOT of your knives, both in store and in threads. I really enjoyed watching your skills develop, then ascend in fast forward. I've always admired your craftsmanship, but it's really cool to see your progress as well. May be a long time til I'm able to purchase another blade, but u have my word that the next one will have K stamped on it!

I chose Hunting, but don't know why. What category would you place the Improved Bowie in? I use it while hunting but my hunting usually involves camping(bushcraft) but the Bowie aspect makes it a Tactical knife doesn't it, Jim Bowie's knife was for sure for fighting. Is a fighting knife always tactical?
Perhaps you need a category for (OVER 7" ALL PURPOSE)

I chose EDC because that size is just so useful and does not add too much bulk to the pocket, so most bang for the buck and still good handle length.

I still hunt alot so I'd have to lean towards a hunting knife. But I find as I've gotten older buying knives I tend to fall somewhere on the hunting knife that is a good multi purpose blade that can handle some bushcrafting also. But growing up camping fishing hunting ... most my trips I have multiple knifes for different tasks.
