favorite victorinox // swiss army knife?

Any two layer models is what I really like. The bigger they are the bulkier and that makes it not very pocketfriendly. And an SAK doens´t belong in a sheath on the belt... it´s made for pocket carry :D

Agreed, but I do have 1 vict. That was given to me when I was really little that I really like for fishing but it needs the sheath for its size.... It's much bigger than a huntsman, idk what it is

My longtime favorite is the Explorer Plus. Its a little thick at 4 layers, but has everything I need. I especially like the inline phillips and magnifier. Having a pen and pin are also very handy:

The Swissbianco Yeoman Plus is basically a 3 layer Explorer Plus, but its a custom and not readily available:

When I go lightweight, I carry a Manager:

I don't have any yet but have been looking at getting a one handed sentinel. anyone have one to give some input on?

I just got a Sentinel 2 days ago. But mine has the pocket clip and nail nick. I don't know if this is the case with all Sentinels, but the liner lock on mine is made for left handers. Another thing to keep in mind is that you're stuck with the clip in one position (tip down). Other than that, I like the length and stays slim in the pocket.

BTW, the toothpick came in handy after this meal. :D

I would really like to get my hands on a trekker

That shouldn't be real difficult. Any number of online sellers routinely carry that model. You will have to decide if you wqnt the serrated or non-serrated version on the main blade.

My favorite is the Adventurer. But I am in the process of changing my EDC. With some introspection, the two tools that I would really miss are the twizzers and tooth pick which I can get on a smaller SAK to carry in addition to my new EDC. Still considering options, but I would like to dump the Adventurer that I have carried for years everwhere for a GEC folder. Don't want to carry both large folders.

This is a discontinued Champion model made for Hoffritz Cutlery. The scales are polished buffalo horn.

I have more history with my tinker than any other except maybe the classic on my keyring. Would like to get a spartan to carry instead of the tinker though.

Alox Soldier and Cadet see the most use. I have quite a few Alox models are my favorites.

If specifically a SAK the Soldier or the Farmer would be my pick. If Victorinox in general then I'd have to vote for their red-handled fully serrated paring knife. I have 5 of them in the silverware drawer and they get used and abused without getting destroyed and their nice thin geometry cuts like a dream. Everyone should own multiples of it.

I have a black swiss army classic with the US Army seal that I have carried daily since cica 1996 (I am retired Army). Handiest little knife ever! With the knife, a watch and my wedding band (yeah I said it) I feel ready for the world. UNFORTUNATELY, my workplace installed a "no-knife" policy recently (read Federal Govt). It's killing me not to have it on me. You know how you check to see if your wallet is in your back pocket...I do that for this small knife. My Dad (also retired Army) carries one as well. For those in-the-know, this is what we use for our "coin check."

The Farmer and Soldier are great choices. I've had both. The Tinker was my very first followed by a Alox Soldier.

I have four or five in various sizes also in my silverware drawer. I also have about an equal number of spares in the stove/oven drawer where I keep all my unused knives and other kitchen utensils.

Just ordered an Alox classic to carry in addition to my planned EDC carry of a GEC Pioneer. I want the tooth pick and tweezers available and I would miss those the most if I don't carry my Adventurer. Have carred the Adventurer for years and have multiple spares.

If I think about kitchen knives then I love to have "Victorinox Swiss Classic 4-Inch Paring Knife with Spear Tip" because it is less expensive and helpful. First time I found its review on a guide about paring knife
