Favorite Video games

My favourites:

Counter-Strike
Half-Life (Can't wait for HL 2)
Diablo 2
Halo (Already pre-ordered Halo 2)
Tetris
James Bond Goldeneye (N64) and Perfect Dark (Such a great game, even now)
 
Haven't tried Halo, but I did pre order Grand Theft Auto San Andreas for my son today.

Is Halo pretty good?
 
It's probably the most well game in the whole damn console world. Not many glitches, almost seemless in single player missons (excludes loadscreens, and cutseens), it just have a second or so, freeze action (but it's not where the action is so it's still pretty smoothe and doesn't bother me)

Very fun on lan, XBC, gamespy, XBC and gamespy lag (especially when you're in Hawaii). LAN will lag when you get around 10 players.

Cool weapons (beware of the pistol).

Great graphics

On single player missions, if you kill too many marines (friendlies) when they're in a grop, (i think) all the marines for the rest of the mission will shoot at you.

Amazing story line, the first time I went through it, I thought it was the best ever.

Go get it so you can have fun with it before Halo2 comes out!
 
I'm anxiously waiting for the release of Resident Evil 4.

Ive always had trouble adjusting to the control style of resident evil. The only horror game I was ever good at was The Suffering. In the game you play in a prison overun by demons and monsters based upon atrocities that happened at the prison. Pretty creepy! :D
 
I can't think of anything other than the release of GT4.

GTA san andreas comes out soon too, can't wait to see that.

My favorite control style was in Eternal Darkness...that's an excellent game.

I believe the next Resident Evil has been tweaked to be easier to control. I play the RE games hooked up to my surround sound and subwoofer, lights dimmed low at night. Scares the crap out of you when a zombie lunges out from the shadows to gnaw on your jugular. :eek:

Fun fun fun. I can't wait. :D

That was hilarious, I had not seen that yet.

As for me, I am a die-hard Halo fan and cannot wait for Halo 2...well I guess I'll have to, won't I?

Currently I am playing Star Wars Battleground, a lot of fun, but terribly limited in what you can do; Tony Hawk Under Ground 2; and all the little freaky free games my geeky friends send me. My friends still get together hook up a bunch of TVs and X-Box's and play Halo every week or so. Fable was interesting but completely easy. And the best game I have ever played is....Morrowind! If you like first person RPGs...which I do.
 
Love Age of Mythology, GTA, old school stuff. Still debating about that $100 buck Final Fantasy. And still waiting for a sequel to Dig Dug. :)

What do you think about the "Soul Cube"? When you deploy it against an enemy/demon, it brings forth a phalanx of whilrling blades, slicing its target to shreds. It then returns to you, and gives you the enemy's strength. If only in the real world, huh?

My other favorite is Manhunt from Rockstar Games (GTA, Vice City, Red Dead, etc.) You have a multitude of weapons at your disposal, including a fixed blade knife, a glass shard wrapped in duct tape, a machete, and even a sickle. Any of which can be used to decapitate/evicerate your victim. Wild s#!t.
