Favorite "waved" style folder?

I love waves in knives. Im a huge emerson fan, but I think my favorite wave design is the spyderco endura wave. The hook has so much more room, making it effortless and waves every time.

I like the old zip tie in the spydie hole trick. I think it preserves the typical spyderco look while having a wave feature.

I use the zip tie on my Buck Vantage. LOVE this thing. The zip tie works every time too.

I think the wave is great on a Karambit. I love The EKI Karambit, except that the finger hole is a bit small for my index finger.

Not "wave styled", but a knife having a structural feature that can be snagged to open the blade is the CS TiLite.

I had the original Ti scaled ones and like it fine.

To me, the closer to the pivot the snagging structural feature is, the better.

My only experiences with waved folders are the Cold Steel models with thumb plates, and a zip tie-modded Endura. The zip tie works fairly well, but it's no contest next to that thumb plate. I love the design of any Cold Steel folders that have that feature, it's excellent.

Favorite (stock) waved knives:

Spyderco Endura Wave: Because it waves open the easiest and opens beer bottles
Emerson 14: Because it's legal in most areas and has great ergos.
Emerson 22: Because I can't afford one and the blade looks awesome.
Emerson 13: Because sometimes I like a big ass knife (though not too big) and the clip point is aesthetically pleasing.

I love my waved Spyderco Endura but it's a bit too long for me to EDC, I more often carry the waved Delica. And they both open bottles pretty well!

The wave function is fun to play with -- or show off with -- but in terms of meaningful function it's not very good. Your hand ends up moving ups and backwards pretty fast, and that's not what you'd usually be looking for in an emergency.

The idea that in an emergency you have to snag your knife on part of your clothing while pulling the knife up and backwards is fraught with peril.

Unless you use the wave function every time you use your EDC, you're probably going to screw up the draw when it most matters. And if you do wave it every time you use your EDC, you're going to go through a lot of pockets.

Waved knives can be waved open slowly, too. I wave my CE Delica work knife just about every time I deploy it, and do it without alarming bystanders. Wave opening, even slowly, is hard on pockets so I carry clipless/waveless when dressed up.
