Favorite whiskey/scotch/bourbon?

Hennessy.

Not a whiskey, scotch or bourbon, but definitely good. Closest that a French cognac comes to Armenian cognac, which, unfortunately, has all but disappeared.

I've been hearing good stuff about Knob Creek. What is it exactly?
What does it taste like?

I really like Scotch, which is regretfull since I can't afford it too often on a college students budget. Some that I really like:

Balvenie 12 Double Wood
Balvenie 15 Single Barrel
Lagavulen
Oban

I dropped a few bucks for a bottle of Jim Bean Black "aged 8 years". Gotta fetch me a bottle of the Knob Creek after reading the rave reviews...

Used to work with a guy that drank Yukon Jack straight from the bottle. Never seen the stuff but he claimed it was the smoothest, cheapest whiskey he ever had.

Strong and smooth. Not as "round" as the 80 proof stuff, but spicy and a very strong bite, much stonger than Makers Mark.

I started drinking bourbon on Old Grand Dad and have a soft spot in my heart for it, but for consisten, strong and spicy flavor, Knob Creek goes for about $22 a bottle in my area (or $52 for a 1.5L). I like it much better than Woodford Reserve.

Any brand that'll keep them away!! :)

Glenfiddich preferred.

glenmorangie scotch, makers mark bourbon, and goerge dickel whisky are my favs, henry mckenna is good stuff to, as is any of the johhny walkers is ya are into scotch.

My friend's weightlifting coach has a few bottles of Armenian cognac which he gets from visiting lifters, or from trips to Armenia.

On topic, I like the Glenlivet, though I am not such an experienced drinker. Jamesons is pretty good for a cheaper whiskey, an everyday whiskey I guess.

Okay folks, went out and spent some money on some Knob Creek and a small bottle of Gentleman Jack. Sittin' here with a shot glass and a tall glass of water, ready to try 'em out....

Ahh, finally a topic I know something about. So here is my first post on bladeforums.
My favourites nowadays:
Lagavulin and laphroaig. Only once or twice a month, the really good things have to be rare in my opinion. Never had the chance to try a "good" bourbon but that's on my to-do list.
