Thanks for the mentions guys!

I don't have a particular favorite youtuber. I find myself watching oromoto and apophysis7 a lot.

Cajunblaze for entertainment and enthusiasm that I thoroughly enjoy.

So-Lo for candid and sound opinions that I know I can trust.

Of the ones I've seen they are boring, excessively amateurish and without substance. I generally only make it through a minute at best before I shut it down. I find very little usable information in them. YMMV

iAMboognish‬‎ - is freaking awesome.. just because he is... lol. He is my favorite reviewer by far.. I let my wife watch some and she was laughing at him cause he is just funny " I never thought I would talk about knives on the interenet, cause it's kind of silly"... lol

Blunt truth because he doesn't mess around. He gets to the point and stays on point. That is what I like in a review.

oromoto too... I like his calm, cool reviews, he doesn't get off topic and has some great camera work.

Cajun Blaze just gets on my nerves because he seems like he is trying too hard and being wayyyyy.... over theatrical on his videos.. I got tired of the suit joke after I heard it a million times. But I am sure many people find that very entertaining.

Nutnfancy???... every time I try to get a review from him all I hear is opinions on cars, websites, etc... does he actually talk about knives? lol, jk.. but you see where I am getting at.

Bluntruth4u.

I like Nutnfancy's old reviews... when he was limited to ten minutes. Now the guy seems to go on and on and on. I just can't stand to hear the voice of someone who loves to hear their own voice. If he has a review of something I want to see, I'll mute the video and skip around just to see some angles and different shots.

In my experience, CharlieMike is the most realistic reviewer second to SouthNarc. I realize SN isn't a contemporary reviewer at YouTube, but he used to be a solid voice of reason pre-video-internet via his articles at selfdefenseforums.com before it's demise. Seeing as how the man utilizes what he preaches everyday he's on the job working undercover as a Narcs Officer and in training, he's hard to ignore. Train his techniques and you'll quickly see what I'm getting at.

I may be missing someone, but everyone else I've viewed as "knife reviewers" on YouTube appear to constituents of the "Let's set a camera up in my bedroom and make a video, 'cause while I've never really experienced/simulated a critical situation with a knife, I reeeealy want people to think I'm awesome" school of thought.

I see a knife as both a tool and a potential weapon. In my opinion, if you ignore one or the other in your evaluation, your missing out on a huge portion of your audience. I gotta hand it to CharlieMike, he never misses out on the opportunity to evaluate both.

That's what I look for in a review.

Be prepared and stay safe,

Taylor

Thanks for the love homey

Just waiting for someone to hit me up for some sort of mod or sharpening to make a vid of. Not buying knives right now and possibly might need to sell some. I've been wanting to get to some more carbon fiber knives and should get started after all this holiday stuff is over. I'll try to do a vid for those with a camera that gets better sound.

I like watching reviews by Nutnfancy and Cutlerylover. To me it's a bit of watching a Discovery Channel documentary on knives, guns and other topics. Also ColinOutdoors and MrDagon regularly pop up when searching for reviews and such.

I love the hiking videos that Nutnfancy does but the reviews are becoming more and more commercial. "Special TNP discount over at X or Y website". He's becoming a brand and that's not a good thing.

I typically watch Nutnfancy's reviews even thought I think he is a bit of a armchair commando.

epecially when he does a "review" on a knife hes never even used and justifies it with "when youve used as many knives as i have you can just tell" - or something to that effect. He does this same exact thing with guns he's never even fired.

way too full of himself.

That said, i find that i prefer reviews posted on knife forums with photos and sometimes videos before i look at youtube reviews
