Favourite European Blades...anyone?

Hi I was just goin thru my knife collection and my EDC habbits and realized that I at least pack one trad. european knife; mostly two.
Those are a Vic. Spartan and a Sicilian Pattada knife. Name doesn´t have anything to do with pealing potatoes. It´s got a myrtle leaf shaped blade utility in mind, combat ready. You can see them at www.patara-info or www.coltellerieberti.it .
Anyone else packs some history like a Opinel , Nantron, Douk Douk, Laguiole, Navaja.....?

Matthias

The Pattada knife / sa resolza is Sardinian.
If you're interested in regional Italian knives also check out the custom work of Sandro Mariani

Fun thread!

- Opinel #5 (no lock unfortunately). So small & light that I often forget it is in my pocket, & have to look for it in the a.m. by going through the pants I wore the day before. Nice around the office; *very* sharp but totally unthreatening. Must eventually get one with a lock, though...

- When I can carry a fixed blade, one of several Scandinavian-type utility knives made with Helle blades & hardwood handles.

Happy Holidays,

Andrew

I like the Opinels and puukos very much.

In customs, there is a maker named Anders Hogstrom (sp?) that makes some beautiful knives.

Ma va fan'culo!

Scusa Mathias, ho appena visto che non ero il primo a corregerti!

Ogni modo sono contento di vedere che non sono l'unico ad apprezzare i coltelli tradizionali italiani:)

I like some Bokers and custom Laguiolas.
