favourties woods/outdoor knife

JK Knives. He has a subforum in the makers section.

Thank you, found it with google as well, now giving it some serious thought... as in, trying to decide what to sell to raise funds for the knife, or whether i can stand to wait for one to be made...

ESEE 4 all the way.

you should definitely look into the koster line as well. I think the bushcrafter is going to be my next big one.

He has a very tolerable wait-time. I know what you mean though... 5 or 6 years ago I waited for about 8 weeks... seemed to take forever!

I have a blade that I'm finishing similar to that, though it's lacking the brushhook and your bottom edge would keep going then sweep up quite a bit. I'm finishing it entirely by hand.

8 weeks NOTHING, that's amazing! My handmade Loveless-style drop-point hunter S30V from Bill Davis (WC Davis) took 6 months, I was in early pre-orders of Survive! Knives for GSO-10, -4.1, -5.1, Necker, and still waiting on NeckerII's ;)

But thanks to you, I did a forum-search and picked up a JK-CBK from the exchange before you'd even made that post!

I hate you. I need to start using the 'ignore' function to keep me from eyeing other folks' knives :p

Back on topic, among my most used woods knives is the Swamp Rat Rodent Solution:

But more often than not, my woods activities involve clearing trails and chopping limbs to size for the firebox or the chipper, which calls for my GSO-10:

I need to take some better pictures of that one...
