That is one gorgeous, no-nonsense working knife design. Very clean and simple -- just like I like 'em.

A lemon, a knife and a shucker, and a small bottle of Tobasco, maybe a couple of green onions snagged from the garden, and I could sit on a rock and eat a dozen of the world's best oysters!!

You guys get Blue Point Oysters all the way up there? ;)

Gorgeous knife Charlie!

I believe the oysters that are common here are known as Yamamotos, as well as by other names.
The water is very cold, which makes the oysters firm, sweet and nutty. They are a good size, possibly too big to eat raw, for some. They make a great breakfast scramble, with eggs as well as being delicious on the half shell!

Charlie,
I had seen that FB before, and it looks awesome. I just wish it didn't have such a big guard. If it had been smaller, I would probably be considering buying this knife (I'm after a small FB lately). Thank you for the pictures...and let us know about the oysters...

Thanks for the continuing comments everyone!

On the left-right issue, I'm not an expert. This one sits fine behind my right hip. I don't know the traditional protocol for shield placement. This knife follows the "folder" protocol, edge up, main blade right, as the mark side, which is just fine with me.
