(just C&P from the home forum, different group over here)
OK, just recieved, haven't done any work with it yet, just handling thoughts right now... will post more after some use.
Sheath: the only problem with it. 200USD knife and they put a leather sheath with it. Getting a rig from Eric...
Steel/Edge:
Aus-8 hollow grind. new to me, so I asked Joe T and when I sharpen will be putting a 15/20 edge on. For now though, I'm loving the factory edge. Paper slicing is a breeze.
Handle:
Could just be me, but I think it could use a choil. It fits well in my hand.
Fit/Finish:
Front side of the right scale, handguard has a slight flaw in it. Not as polished as left side and can see a small peice on top of the main surface. Also, the shaping grind on the tip of the right side isn't as defined as left. Other than those 2 (cosmetic) flaws, it's perfect.
Balance:
Balance point is on the index finger, when held with thumb on guard and index on the 2 pins.
Overall:
Spyderco did a nice job on this one. Weight is decent, and carries well. Have to give it some utility work to see how she does.
