Gorgeous matched pair, both number 135, FBM-LE and ASH1-LE, mint as new.

As you can see from the photo, the handle slabs on both of these were extensively contoured/smoothed by the factory and do not suffer from the “blockiness” of some mag slabs. As a result, both practically melt into the hand and are exceedingly comfortable.

Offered as a set for $1295 shipped, postal money orders only. SOLD.

Many of the original LE mag handles were left very blocky with hard corners, and many of the tigerhide handles turned out to be a brackish gray color. These knives both have nicely contoured, super comfortable handles. As you can see, both have very nice black/brown distribution in the micarta. (The original owner put mineral oil on the handles to photograph them and to demonstrate the color distribution. His photo appears above. Both are completely dry now.) Plus you get a matching set of fairly low numbers.

At my list price of $1295, after deducting insured Priority Mail shipping costs of about $25, you're only paying a premium of approx. $23 per knife for these extra benefits. For that kind of money, in my opinion the buyer is getting top value on two of the finest examples of their kind to be found.
