FBM on eBay

I was looking at the Busses on eBay and saw what appears to be a standard tan/tan FBM with a $600 minimum bid (no bids yet). I knew Busses had appreciation potential, but I thought they at least had to be pulled from the BCK site before they shot up over 50%.

By the way, this is not my knife and I'm not recommending that anyone bid on it or refrain from bdding on it. Just making an observation.

I saw that earlier today and I was very suprised, and will be even more so if it gets a bid.....600, thats pretty rediculous.

Asking price is one thing - receiving is another....

However on the hysterical Bay ya never know,

Considering Ducci's got one for basically retail on the exchange. (Shocked it's still there.)

Lots of Ebay overpriced items tend to go anyhoo. Who buys stuff for that much over retail??? (Oh wait, this is Ebay - where I sold a Ipod armband for MORE than the Apple store charges - and the person paid for shipping too!!!!)

Why anyone would buy that when you can still get them for 200 less is beyond me..

Unfortunately, if someone waits too long to buy from BC direct, that's probably what it'll cost them on the secondary market later on!

It ain't mine, but we're all going to poop ourselves if it sells. :D

And they are going to get them for $200 less for some time to come, because Skunk will have them after the come off Busse right?

I'm sure this was unintentional but you might want to read the rules in regards to auction spotting.

You mean this rule from the Sales Forum?

No auction spotting
We don't care if you have something on ebay. Post a price and either raise or lower it.

Because if that's it, I'm pretty sure it doesn't apply. First, this is not the sales forum, and second, I'm not selling anything. If there's a rule against discussing what people are asking for Busse knives, I don't think this is it.

My impression was that "auction spotting" was regarding direct linking to the page. That is at least how the mod's generally handle it in other areas of BFC.

Simple discussion of Busse's sold, whether here or on other sites, I thought was okay.

If there is a precedent set here by Hammy/PG/etc., please point it out so we can be more cautious.

:D

Hmmm, so you're saying I can buy two, sell them and buy three, sell two of those and buy three more... sell two of those and have two free FBMs at the end of the project? WooHoo!!!
I'm in!!! (but...time's a'wastin'!;) )
