fbm survival rig

Knifecenter has teh sheaths. (Froogle is your friend. LOL I found it by accident) http://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store_detail.html?s=ON8613

It also fits - with some judicious teawater'n'pliers work - a Basic 9. Plus it's MOLLE compatible (I lashed mine to a pack) and pretty danged roomy. It might have cost me $40 shipped for the sheath, I think. Or you can get an RTAK for about $90, build a cardboard/duck-tape sheath for the RTAK for a car-backup-knife at $50. Something that sits in the bottom of your trunk or something.

If you were interested in a light of some kind that probably would fit the sheath, you could try a Photon from http://www.photonlight.com/LED-Keychain-Flashlights-s/1.htm or maybe a Petzl eLite http://en.petzl.com/petzl/LampesProduits?Produit=607.

I have a few photons and quite liike them. They are totally adequate for around a camp at night to cook, dig trhough your apck etc. NOt really sutiable if you need to light up ground fro travel, though in a pinch you could get away with it.

The eLite I don't own - but I bought one for my housemate. Really good light for the size and weight. a bit under 1oz and probalbya bit smaller than a matchbox. You could move at night by one of these.

Both types use lithium batteries so you get good shelf life and power in the cold. Both use LEDs so there is littel risk of "globe" failure and fairly efficient with power consumption.
