This is FBMLE #871. It is exactly as I purchased it in new unused unsharpened condition from a well known and well respected member of this forum.
In order to ensure full disclosure, I am including the following account of the purchase of the knife. When I received it I questioned the seller about the condition of the knife's edge. It appeared to me to have been sharpened by someone other than Busse. He assured me that it came to him like this from Busse and was not sharpened by anyone other than the Busse shop. I have no reason to doubt him as he is a well respected long time member of this forum. I have included pictures of the side of the edge that looks the worst.
I have heard that some knives have left the shop looking much worse than this. I would imagine that if it bothered one enough Busse would resharpen it.

$650 includes Paypal fees and priority mail shipping in the continental United States. Earliest "I'll take it" here gets it. Paypal only.
I will ship elsewhere if the buyer pays the difference in shipping. If using an international Paypal account, there is an additional 2% charge.

I have FBM LE #863, which is close to the number listed here...

The edge on mine looks pretty much that same as what you see here,
and mine came from Busse this way.
I actually like it... it's nice and sharp!
