FC resist?

I was thinking about a selective etch with ferric chloride to put my name on a blade. Any ideas about what to use as a resist?

I think a sharpie can be used as a resist, not 100% on that, you can coat an area with finger nail polish then scratch your name through it, just have to be careful and build a modeling clay dam around the area.

I hear Dykem works too.

I use fingernail polish. I've never used anything else. If Dykem works that might be better. I'm going to have to try it sometime.
