Fear the YAK!!! INFI and saltwater go together like beer and fishing... Rust??? Huh?

This thread is awesome! I'm also fisherman , so I'm quite happy to see the pics. Thanks for sharing! (and I have a deep appreciation for the great state of Texas).

On wednesday morning I'll be leaving for a week of Fishing, Diving, lot of beers and good food.

wow...^^ that's quite the pic.

And KDS...love these threads. love to fish myself and i have been longing to try kayak fishing. grew up fishing for Striper on Plum Island (Mass), but now live up in VT. Lake Champlain is an excellent fishery and the kayak would really work perfect.

used to have a canoe, but i am mostly by myself. too heavy to get it on the roof of the car by myself. sold the canoe a few weeks ago. gonna save my pennies to get me a kayak for the spring. that's what i love about fishing. it's like a little mini-vacation every time i go out. the perfect escape.

thanks for the pics. looks like a great place(s).

Great pics Kevin!!! Come up here and hook a King Salmon of shore:eek: I've never done it but have friends that go Saltwater Yaking and they said it can get interesting...

I love yaking. Try to get out on the water as much as possible. Planning a yak trip to Puttin Bay this year. It will be about 15 miles of paddling across Lake Erie.

Yes, you are right. :D Usually this is the only knife that I carry in my trips, and I need more slicing than chopping, so I did this little modification. This thing is scary sharp!
Meat fat and bones can ruin a edge pretty quick, and I have been using it for a while and I'm still amazed about how easy it can cut a big fish or a piece of meat (and keep the edgel).

I used to rent a yak in Corpus and fish in the bay for reds using DOA Shrimp. They do indeed hit like roided, tweaking largemouth. Now I fish from a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120. Good stuff!

I love Kayak fishing! I hit the Colorado River and Baja Mexico/Sea of Cortez, every chance I can.

Nice!

I don't fish out of them, but we have a couple of Native Watercraft Marvels (10' and 12') that we get out and paddle as often as possible. Took my visiting brother, sister and nephew out on Mott Lake on Ft. Bragg just yesterday, as a matter of fact!
