This knife took 10 days in the making. Damascus 5 days and the rest of the knife 5 days. All metal fittings are sterling silver. I started with 4 ounces 0f sterling. I poured the guard 7 times before I got it right. The button on the end in the handle is recessed into the handle and threaded as tang is threaded so it screwed and glued together. Funny way I poured the silver for the button. I used a 5/8 inch steel pipe that was mounted in a wood block and poured in the pipe. Then put it in my lathe and turned the steel off and there was the silver. The handle is fossil walrus from Alaska. I hand carved it and inserted sterling pins which is scary as when you drill the ivory the drill bit is small and the flutes can collect chips and expand in the hole and cause the bit to snap. If that happens the handle is ruined as you can't get the bit out (ouch!). It has a 6 inch blade and is 10 3/4 inches long. Price is 750.00 and woohoo FREE MAIL by priority in CONUS I take check, money order, venmo and paypal. Respectfully I hope you like it.
