Hi to all, this little one is the first one I finished in 2013.
Tried some new stuff in this one, very glad with how it came out.
Its a 5160-15n20 feather damascus phosphatated (if thats even a word...)
Ss guard and collar.
Blackwood for the scales and the frame. German silver spacers and pins.

All of your damascus is spectacular, including this beautiful feather pattern. Gorgeous knife.

That is a feather/explosion Manuel! I like it VERY much and the blackwood with the german silver hardware looks GREAT.

Thank you all guys!
Mark, don't think I forgotten those blocks you send me, I'm planning to do something really cool with them, don't worry.
Ron, its true, this is just my third feather, and I'm finally satisfied with this one.
Bruce, to be fair, I saw a wooden frame handle in a CAS knife a few years ago and thought "that is an awesome idea", I was finally able to try it just now. Truth is I love frame handles, the security you get by knowing that everything is perfectly aligned is worth the extra effort of making it.

Once again thank you all and I'm really glad you liked it.

I find the guard a little 'too in your face'. Too shiny, or maybe the satin finished spacer is too dull. In any event, I think it would like better in general with a more uniform furniture finish. As it is, just a little too much going on imo.

Also, the inset of the spacer is just a little too much for me and kills the flow just a bit. My eye always stops at the spacer.

With that being said, I really like the look of this knife big time. Like pretty much everyone else, I have a lot of enthusiasm for it.
Apart from the extremely well done everything, it has a cute, chubby look that I find particularly appealing.

It's a 'welcoming' knife, a friendly tool ready to help any time.

I agree...lose the spacer, a little less shine on the guard with the blackwood handle going right into the guard...and everything would flow nicer...but some like the extra bling and care less about the flow so i guess you can't make everyone happy

Very nice, I like it. Beautiful damascus, interesting construction.

Kind regards,

Jos
