Features You Don't Care For

Here's what @waverave pictured for me once upon a time. They're similar to what you mention, but mini trappers with spey/wharncliffe or spey/lambsfoot blade combos, with some of my favorite covers.
(I'm a spey blade fan, too.)

Oh man those would be awesome!! I actually just recently got a Case Tiny Trapper with the Clip + Wharncliffe combo and saw the other option was Clip + Spey and I kept wishing I'd find one that was Spey + Wharncliffe.... although that Spey + Lambsfoot is really killer.

Thanks! I wish those knives were real, but then I'd have to decide how many, and which ones, I could afford. 🤓

Background for those "photos". I like mini trappers, and the "improved" mini trappers with a wharncliffe instead of a spey blade were cool, but I thought an even better improvement would be to keep the spey and swap the clip for a wharncliffe. And then, as long as I was dreaming, I thought spey/lambsfoot would be even better for me! YMMV. ;) Then I had Darren make my dreams "reality" by Photoshopping my blade combos onto some of my favorite cover materials.

For me it's overly decorative bolsters. Too many flutes or pinched bolsters. I don't like most bails although there are exceptions. Hidden pins, most single blades, straight edge main blades, rounded off tips. Micarta handles, thick stag, bad jigging. Most single bladed knives.

Nope:
Serrated edges
Delrin
Unbalanced stag -- too fat in the middle or too thin in the middle (hourglass shape) or one of each on the same knife

Not crazy about:
Spey blades
Bails
Specialty blades that are mostly useless and shouldn't be substituted for the real thing -- fish scalers/hook removers, beard combs, forks, etc.

Haha I actually do the same thing myself when I get like dream knives in my head… I draw them or photoshop them.

I love decorated bolsters, both filework and engraving, all natural material covers, and stainless steel blades.

Not very keen on damascus blades, plastic cover materials, and any folders without bolsters. Usually avoid stag folder handles without shields, they look naked to me.

Can't stand match strike nail nicks, to me they give a knife that "dime store" look.
