Alright fellas - I've got a day off from my Mr. Mom duties and need to get out of the house and have some fun.

Anyone interested in getting together for a hike and outdoor skills day? I'm in DE and am looking for something fairly close to maximize my time.
 
I might be interested.

Not sure if I am going to be Goose hunting or not just yet, but I will know by this weekend.

Where are you thinking of going? I could do the Batona trail in Batsto or something in Southeastern PA.
 
Batsto is in NJ right? I've never been there but would be willing to check it out. I'm not sure what else is in SE PA - I'd love to go to Hawk Mountain at some point but think it's a bit far for a day trip for me.
 
Yes, South Jersey.

If you come across Delaware Memorial bridge and get on route 40, you will be about 30 miles away from Batsto. It is a pretty neat area with a lot of tradition. Jersey Devil and what not. I could meet you on Route 40 and we can follow down there, but I am not against jumping the river into PA either.
 
Sounds like I must have driven pretty close to it all those summers going to OCNJ.

Let's see if anyone else chimes in about going to PA. It's last minute so I'm not sure who will chime in.
 
Yeah if you went to OC, you were within 25 miles of Batsto.

OK, let it run till a day or so and maybe you can get a group together
 
What do you think, PM? Should I start a new thread with the Date and location as firm and see who else chimes in?

Yeah - I wish it was much easier to get all of us from WS&S together. Maybe one day if I hit the lottery I'll pay for everyone to get together :)
