February MYB Thread - Move It People!

1.5 mile walk last night. Finally.

30.5 BPs so far.

6 mile mountain bike ride = 3BP, and 1 mile walk = 1.

34.5 BPs TTD.

Just trying to keep this going for all the folks who can't get outside right now.
Mike - isn't it still a bit cold to swim?

I'm curious how you might count something like kettle bells? In the winter they are my primary form of exercise, as far as calories burned they seem comparable to running a 7.5 minute mile pace, but I see you are counting by distance rather than intensity. Maybe it belongs more in the strength and fitness version? It is very cardiovascular exercise. Anyways this sort of friendly accountability sounded like a fun thing to start doing so I'm wondering where you guys think that sort of exercise might fit.

Nope.

23 minutes of kettle bells=3 miles on foot?
There's a different thread for that - weights and fitness or something like that. mountainmist started the last one.

Last week and this week (not on weekends) I've walked 3 miles each day, so 24 BPs, 24 + 6.5 = 30.5

3 more miles on foot, 33.5 BPs.

EDIT: Meant to quote but edited so..

Previous version was 24 miles on foot in a couple weeks.

Definitely want to get involved in this thread once March begins. After get my BK-10, I want to begin hiking and camping in the summer... I'm not in shape for that right now!

Snow and ice killed my running. Only got in 21.75 miles. No hiking.

1200m swim last night.....followed by "Pub Poutine" and a couple brewskis. I'm pretty sure they cancel each other out, but I'll take the exercise points anyway.

4+31=35 BP for Feb....and that's prolly it. MYB fail, so sad....
Skated outdoors today for 1½ hrs. Worth at least 5, I think. Sweated a fair bit even tho the thermometer was at 27°F.

5+35=40 for the month. Still a fail.

2 mile walk.

38.5 BPs TTD.

Walked 2 miles on the 28th.

40.5 BPs for February.

Some consider it a fail, and I would have liked to do more, but I achieved my personal target of 40 so I'm okay with it. Now to kick it into gear for March.

Holy cow. It's March already. Been too busy to participate in the thread - but I've been moving my butt! Been running 5k's a couple times a week. Really want to do a 10k soonish.
