I've been on the forum for a few months, and have done a few trades. I've made sure I left positive feedback to the few guys I've traded with. However, there a one or two trades that I've completed that I didn't get any feedback on. Should I remind the person(s) that I need feedback, so my score doesn't stay at "2"?

Thanks!

I don't. I think it's obviously important to leave feedback as it is a decent indicator of how you are to deal with in a trade or sale, but if someone doesn't, I don't ask them to.....

I've left almost double the feedback than I've received back. I personally don't worry about it too much. I've probably done about 10 more transactions that neither party left feedback on. If you do ask, just make sure you're polite about it. The other party may have either forgotten or not been on in awhile to leave the feeback.

Thanks for the replies. I'll leave it as is...I'm trading more, and do look at feedback as a gauge on trading.

As do i. I also look at post areas and the about me page on their profile. The more that's filled out and the more time they spend on here the better I usually feel about a potential trader.

A lot of sellers don't seem to bother leaving feedback. I probably should have double the numbers that I have. I am sure that many people are the same.

some people don't care and or are simply inconsiderate...Thats LIFE in general....

Just include in your communications to leave feed back as a reminder. Explain you are new and would appreciate the feedback.

I don't. A higher positive feedback count is one way to establish trust, but not the only way. I typically lookup the post areas of the seller, as well as go through some of the posts as well, in addition to goog'ling his/her name or bladeforums handle for possible red flags. I prefer dealing with folks with a well rounded personality on the forums as it is highly likely the knife will be accurately described.

I don't think it's unreasonable to say that you're new and would appreciate the feedback. I've had the good fortune of dealing with some great individuals, and I think I've only had one transaction where the other party forgot to leave feedback. It's easy to forget things like that, and some people are just more busy or scatter brained than others. When I email the buyer tracking info I always ask to let me know when it's in their hands and that they are happy with it. Sometimes people forget or perhaps haven't gotten the chance yet, and I'll end up emailing them first to see if they got it because I'm eager to know that they're happy with their purchase.

I do this as well. I check in with them to see if they're satisfied, and this usually jogs their memory regarding feedback. There's nothing wrong with asking.

I feel the deal is not done until both parties exchange feedback. It is always important to leave feedback IMO

A deal is done when both people have had their expectations met on the primary exchange of cash vs items, the rest is simply a courtesy.
