Feedback on Thunderstruck Scales

Yup I could handle that! Well great, just have to see if GermanyChris GermanyChris would be interested in loaning a knife. He replied to an earlier thread I posted saying something along those lines, so hopefully it works out.

The PM2 I would think is another good model and probably a few other Spyderco's. No one has yet offered any but you could try and gauge interest in some for the Lionsteel Roundhead/Dom/Shuffler people talked about mods for it but few have been seen yet.

The PM2 is pretty tricky being nested and all. The Shuffler has a small surface area, I feel it might not work as well.

Stop with your logic b00n b00n I need me some Roundhead covers in this material :p I wish I had the tools and skills to make scales then I could try and get a small piece of this to make some for my Roundhead.

Mine has Stag on it which not sure if it would be the best source to figure from but I will consider loaning it out as it is also one of my favored knives to carry.

P PirateSeulb That's kind of the fun of it, every piece turns out totally different and we only have so much control over it. I just tried to upload a few more but got "the file is too large for the server to process." I'll do some digging around about image uploading and get back to it.
If you resize your pics in a photo editor, you will be able to get them compressed without really messing in up the quality too much.

I don't have any recent pics, as my work had been on hold due to a move to AZ from NJ yesterday. I will see what I can dig up.

Also, I will see what I have to send over for you to template.

Checking back in here: we took your advice and are almost done with a new batch of scales/blocks. We sent around 11 lbs of wood to K&G for stabilizing, including acacia, walnut, caribbean rosewood, and mexican ebony. Some had resin already poured and some were just burned and brushed out. We just got it back last week and we're now working on filling in the rest with resin. We'll post back here when we have some available for sale.

Quick question: right now we have almost all blocks at 5" x 1-1/2" x 1". Would you prefer them sold already re-sawn and flattened to 3/8" thick each? Or is it better to offer the one piece block with the option of re-sawing?
