I like that quote, lol. I don't really like crab that much, but any time spent with your family is time well spent imo. And if you have something to show for it, and you can teach/learn something, then it is special indeed! Nice catch! :thumbup:

when i do boil them i use louisianna swamp fire seasoning and boil them with corn and sausage.

I use the locally made stuff. I like it best but i also beleave in supporting local buisiness. their tax dollars go to the public schools here same as mine.

not to sound too stupid but i have caught many blue crabs just never kept them. i assume you eat the claws and perhaps the larger legs? what else?? and is there anything you need to watch out for (while digging for meat)

You eat the claws and as you pull the legs off you will pull alot of the body meat with them. then just dig out the lump. that is also why i like to fry them the smaller ones you don't have to dig them meat I just eat body and all. (not the top shell)
