My son, freshly graduated from HS, just started college last month. He's attending a nearby school, so we'll have him around for at least a short bit. I say "a short bit" because I expect he will want to move out on his own by the start of his second year of college.
Though I still worry about him, (a parent's natural feeling), it's my daughter that has me really jittery.
She's currently a Senior in HS, and I know that her plans are to attend a college some distance away. It's still within the State, but something like three hours away. The thought of my daughter being away from us scares me big time. Maybe it's just that I notice things more since realizing that she will be on her own next year, but it sure seems like there are more and more rapes, abductions, murders and such, happening to young college girls.
I know that my wife and I have beaten the subject to death about being alert, being careful, about not being overly trusting and all, but my worry is still down-right severe!
Yup, they may be pretty much all grown up, but good parents never stop worrying about their "little ones"![]()
Forty One years old here, I'm feeling a bit shelf worn myself![]()
LOL!
Yeah, it does instantly take years off my look when I'm not wearing a mustache or mustache/beard combination. The problem is that I just never liked my appearance when bare faced.
I've also heard it said that when a man that usually wears a stash or stash/beard combination decides to shave, his face then looks like a shaven cho-cha............ LOL!![]()
